Bridies restaurant has a new location on dry harbor Rd. The restaurant has no private parking lot so you to get on street parking. The restaurant is brand new. The bar is up front as you walk in and is very noisy. There are diners seated on a partition separate from the bar itself where people who drink are seated. There are multiple televisions that are hanging on the walls all throughout the restaurant. There's a handicap ramp going up to the main dining room in the back of the restaurant which seats approximately 40 people. Everything about the restaurant is new. The bathrooms the tiling fixtures, the floors, walls And the restaurant equipment. We were led to the table by the Hostess. A server immediately came over and asked if we wanted who had any alcoholic beverages. All the servers were very pleasant. From the time we arrived at the restaurant the time we left was approximately two hours. I ordered parmesan garlic chicken wings and sweet potato fries. My spouse ordered shaved steak with cheese/Philadelphia cheese steak which came with French fries. In the middle of our order the restaurant fire alarms all work off with blaring sounds and strobe lighting! It took about 15 minutes or longer for them to be able to shut off the strobe lights. The alarm sound went off after about 10 minutes, but the strobe lighting stayed on four approximately 10 minutes longer! Which was not amenable to our eating! I was told by the head waiter that the fire department had to shut off the strobe lights and the restaurant had no control over it! Our food finally came which talk about 15 minutes not including the alarm going off. The food was very good it was served hot, and it was very promptly delivered once it was cooked. The restaurant itself may need reservations for larger party to be catered to because we were there for at least 2 1/2 hours and that was just for chicken wings, a philly cheese Steak and fries. The bill came to over $40 plus Plus $10. I left as a tip. Restaurant gives you a discount to pay cash and list it on your check. It is not much of a discount. But it's better than nothingDisappointed Saturday and no dining room service very busy bar and...
Read moreI've always heard about Bridie's but after hearing of their closing I felt like I missed an opportunity to try a great staple. Once I heard they were opening back up but in Middle Village I was pumped. We went on a Thursday night, it was pretty packed but we were able to get a seat quickly/ without waiting. This was a trick because even ordering a beer took 20 minutes. I tried browsing their instagram page and saw a few posts saying they are known for a steak sandwich, I then browsed yelp to see the same consensus. We start out with regular buffalo wings. They were NOT good. Very saucy but needed to be cooked more. It took so long to come out I just let it go and didn't even finish the wings. For so many people raving about their wings I was expecting a lot. Next we ordered a burger. It was regular. Nothing fancy, it was a frozen patty heated up and dressed. Fine, it's a bar/ restaurant it's what l expected. Then we order the "famous" skirt steak sandwich. The waitress comes out and gives us its Philly cheesesteak, l tell her it's not what we ordered and I show her the instagram post because I want to specifically try this steak sandwich. I'm not sure why she was confused. We wait 25 minutes for it and when it comes out it's just toast and steak, very little sauce, it was well-done (barf) and to top it off its $21 just for the sandwich. What a scam. Look at the photo of the sandwich attached to this review. Scam. This all felt like a waste of time and money here. They hired so many waiters and waitresses there was no need for service to be so slow and wrong. The only thing going for this place was the size of the restaurant and the amount of TVs allowing customers to watch different games/matches. Definitely...
Read moreAre used to go to the original establishment years ago for steak tidbits when it was on Woodhaven Boulevard. This is nowhere near the old establishment or old ownership that we used to be back in the day today they came in with a friend of mine. We wanted burgers the burgers were a total disappointment look like a premade patty. The bacon was obviously microwaved and rewarmed was stiffer than a honeymoon night h?$d on. The burger that I ordered was supposed to come with sautéed mushrooms they forgot the mushrooms. I pointed this out to the server who brought it out and he never came back!! For a pickel I got half a Gerkin, I mean, minuscule!. I finally had to tell the waitress and she goes into the kitchen to get some mushrooms, 15 minutes later I get them. She caught an attitude when I pointed out the mistake. I also had to order a side order of fries because the fries that they give you couldn’t fill a Dixie cup. The burger was tasteless. When I inform the waitress to please bring out more ketchup, she got even more Pissed. The burger had more bread than hamburger. I will not be coming back to this place as I told the owner when I was leaving total disappointment not worth my time ( side note, with New York in the middle of a heated battle for the hockey championship this idiot was wearing a Philadelphia Flyers sweatshirt). Also, there was a weird service charge on my bill $2.82 for some sort of service charge which I can’t get. I never seen this in my life. I’m done! 1 and done! Mentioned that he even got the cheese on the burgers wrong simplest ordered a hamburger with fries and they couldn’t even get that right but what pissed me off more than anything what is the...
