So I was a very frequent customer before the pandemic as I don’t work far and the service was always amazing. Now coming back this year of course the first place I was excited to come was here and the woman behind the register was extremely rude I called ahead of time and ordered a sausage slice and when I called she laughed and said we don’t have that and I asked are you sure because that was always what I ordered before the pandemic. She said she would have to make it I said okay no problem how long would it take she stated 5 minutes which was perfect for me. When I got there and said I called for the sausage slice she hadn’t made it but she said she can do it now, I couldn’t wait so I told her it was okay. I called the next day for the same thing and it was the same issue. The week after I went in and it was pretty busy everyone ordered and she hadn’t asked them to pay ahead of time, when i approached the register she was very rude and took a very long time to take my order she finally came and I ordered my same sausage slice and she asked me to pay ahead of time, I ignored her because she hadn’t ask anyone else and wasn’t sure why I was the only one obligated to due so, I got my slice paid and left. One of my friends came from out of town and we went to a show at the Barclays and was hungry after so of course i recommended the place, again she was extremely rude to me and my friend for absolutely no reason. My friend loved the Pizza of course but hated the service. Now today I go in and it’s the same issue I walk in it’s busy the people ahead order but aren’t obligated to pay ahead of time I get to the register this time i order the last two slices and she screams 7 dollars at me but I ignore her again and she screams it again this time I let her know when I get my food i will pay. I’m not sure what’s her issue but it’s very unprofessional. Great pizza horrible service. She said her name is domega but I’m sure...
Read moreBrooklyn Home Slice is a neighborhood favorite, but their service is sub par. Don’t order for delivery, the food will take hours or not come. Read my review below or the many others who have said the same thing. Consider ordering from Amorina Cucina Rustica, which has better reviews, is a few blocks away and has a gluten free pizza option.
Review below: My husband and I order from them frequently for large events. On 4/16/24, we ordered using UberEats. While I know that UberEats isn’t perfect, the food took hours to come to the location the was 2 mins (0.8 miles) away where we were hosting an event. When it arrived, it was missing a gluten free pie. I called them and told them that we’re going to order another regular pie and to please send the gluten free pie (it was even written in the order notes.) Brooklyn Home Slice agreed to send the gluten free pie with the new order.
When the order arrived it had one regular pie and NO gluten free pie. I went to the location to explain it to how disappointed I was in the service. Instead of owning up to the error or offering a valid solution, they blamed Uber Eats for both mistakes and suggested that we call them to place orders in the future. The event attendees with gluten allergies, did not eat.
Here’s the thing— Brooklyn Home Slice don’t use a service like UberEats if it doesn’t work for your business. Offer solutions instead of blaming Uber Eats drivers for forgetting the pizza (twice) and the customer for not using your restaurant delivery service. If you have a delivery service, then bring the forgotten pizza 5 minutes away to your customer. Or hand the Uber Driver the order and tell them what to take.
Going the extra mile is good business, it’s that simple.
(Uber Eats did refund us for the roughly $200 for both orders since the pizza that did arrive,...
Read moreIt took 10-15 minutes to get a slice warmed up with more people behind the counter then customers in the store ... it almost tasted like yesterday's pizza.
Place severly lacks proper organisation and seems to be a toxic work-place environment from previous reviews, would not recommend.
Reading the response below and other reviews even prior to this month, I can tell there's only 2 things this establishment's is concerned about. Public Relations and Profit Margins, lol.
At the end of the day, this is a real review - I was there, I was dissatisfied & observed plenty of chaos to complain about.
Thanks for asking about my dissatisfaction concerning your business! I'm sure you value all feedback, whether good or bad - you clearly care about 'em.
Now to actually address your response? if that's what you want to call it... I see you sometimes care about your employees by offering to do things for them on personal level; How is it your concern if said individual is dancing in videos, sick or not. The only concern you had was when he was sick in your facilitates and you failed to...
