Cake's by Alejandro — Restaurant in New York

I've been coming to this location for year's, and I've experienced it transition from different owners. Thank God this new owner knows what he is doing. I ordered this cake last minute for my Christmas day dinner. I was expecting them to tell me that it was to short notice for them to have it ready by that date since I literally ordered it 4 day's before Christmas. But to my surprise they took my order and had it done on time. It was ready by the time I got there. The cake to say the least was exactly how I wanted it to be and looked stunning and well crafted. The name of this location has changed (I'm assuming new management) it is now Cakes By Alejandro. First things first the customer service is terrible as they don't greet you. There was a lady & a man gossiping on the phone and unmasked. Nonetheless I wanted to support this new business so i looked past that. I purchased cupcakes, "4 leches" cake and flan. The cupcakes were stale, the flan was hard and tasted like something from the supermarket, not handmade. It was way too sweet. I didn't even try the cake I threw it away. I ordered a cake it looked BEAUTIFUL but, it was dry and had this mold/old taste to it. I did bring it to their attention and I did get an apology for the inconvenience but, they can't control the climate. "Buenos dias espero q se encuentre bien.
