The berry French toast was tasty. We ordered for pickup and it didn't come with syrup on the side, nor was it clear if there was any already on the toast, but that was perfectly fine because it was still flavorful and definitely the preferred alternative to it being drenched. The berries were fresh and sweet, and the three slice portion was solid. The Swiss cheese and mushroom crepe was pretty good. I loved the texture of the crepe, smooth and light without being dry. I was less a fan of the sauce on top which was advertised as lemon but tasted rather like mustard. Maybe I'm crazy. In any event, it was a very strong flavor and I wound up scraping off quite a bit. The portion was appropriate. I'd try the salmon crepe next time. I also ordered a decaf honey rose latte which I fully enjoyed. It was aromatic and tasty, and well but not overly sweetened.

This place did not disappoint. We didn’t intend on coming here but a happy encounter led us to some great breakfast food. My Gf even said this was the best omelette she’s ever had. I believe this cafe is supposed to be Greek inspired judging by the feta cheese in most dishes and some dish names. The breakfast wrap was so flavorful and unlike the regular run of the mill wrap. If you’re in the area and need a quick bite do give Canary Cafe a try.

This place is awesome! I was walking my dog and saw a sign outside advertising gluten free crepes. I stepped inside and ordered two crepes, coffee, and turkey bacon. It blew my mind! There is just one lady working the grill, and she made the food taste like it was from a cafe in Paris. You could hardly tell it was gluten free, and the fruit/chocolate sauce on top was gorgeous. The atmosphere is so cute; the decorations and plants are so warm and lovely. I talked to a local inside who, like the staff, was super friendly and kind. Brunch cafe experiences in New York are often poor because of hasty and disgruntled people, but that couldn’t be farther from how Canary Cafe is. They’ve only been open for six weeks, and I hope they become a staple for more Williamsburg...
