Read moreCarmelo’s is the actualization of the bar you always dreamed of. Great, affordable drinks and sick music. There is so much space, which is a rarity in New York. All the staff are genuinely caring and interesting people. There are a few reviews here about being turned away either at the door or by the bartender. Some of these try to curse but asterisk out some of the letters like it’s 1999 MySpace. Time to grow up. Very belligerent and self aggrandizing, but we were bedfellows nonetheless, and I have to thank Carmelo’s for that. The music is loud now. Impossibly loud. Last time I was here a woman spilled Julian casblancas divorce secrets. She was under nda. Watch who you trust in this pit of snakes and thunder. You really have to watch your back. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey, and if it may bring you to Carmelo’s, it is a place that could only add some intrigue, I’ll give it that. Farewell....
