I purchased a cake for my little sister’s birthday party and specifically asked if it was fresh. The female employee assured us it was made recently, within 1-2 days. Unfortunately, when we cut the cake at the party, we discovered it had mold. Some guests ate it before noticing and later complained of stomach pain and not feeling well. It was an embarrassing and disappointing experience. We returned the cake to the store and received a refund, but the damage was done. I will never go back.

UPDATE: I originally gave this Carvel a bad review. But I’m changing this to a 4 because the supervisor contacted me back within a hour and apologized and was able to rectify the mistake. So their customer service turned to be excellent. ——————- Terrible online service. Ordered a soft serve sundae with strawberry syrup & whipped cream. Received a sundae with Strawberry AND chocolate syrup. I hate chocolate syrup. They also messed up the ice cream sandwiches, which were supposed to come with sprinkles. Then when I call to let them know, it’s a GOGGLE phone number!...
