New, bright, clean and open 24 hours every single day! The laundromat downstairs my home in the East Village closed down permanently (lost their lease) so I had to search for a new one. Yes there are plenty of others in my area but I wanted to do my laundry late last night so I searched for a 24 hour shop. During the pandemic I went to a 24-hour laundromat on Myrtle but it was kind of grimy and lots of homeless people congregated inside the store, so I searched for other options and Laundrybee was very highly rated. I drove about 15 mins and walked into this very bright, large and clean laundromat. There was one other person doing their laundry and initially I didn't see any staff inside. As with most contemporary laundromats, you need to use purchase a card ($1) and load funds into it (cash or CC). You then use that card to start the washers and dryers. They both come in different sizes (see photos) and for the bigger washers, if you're not taller I recommend using the step stools available nearby (to pour your detergent/softener). Rates are a big higher than what I'm used to but IMHO well worth the cost because it's a well-kept place with new machines and they're conveniently open 24 hours for late birds like me. The tables for folding clothes could be bigger and seating areas could be more expansive (I imagine many people will have to stand on a busy weekend afternoon); there's a TV but it's all the way in the back (although these days most people are glued to their phones during any down time). But overall it's an excellent laundromat and I look forward to...
Read moreUpdating review Feb ‘26, nearly a year after initial 5 start review, due to horrible experience with wash and fold. I rarely do wash and fold but treated myself today as I’m super busy. I dropped everything at 9 am, paid a whopping $50, and was told it would be ready in the evening. Wrong! it’s 7 pm (10 hours later) and they haven’t started it, and told me it’ll be ready tomorrow morning. I’m now spending my evening doing the laundry myself because I need clean sheets. They’re also saying they cannot refund me. Really unfortunate as I had a great experience with their wash and fold when my foot was broken this summer. Will not trust them with it again.
March ‘25: Very clean and new, plenty of machines that are super efficient. A welcome addition to the neighborhood… no more quarters...
Read moreLaundrybee is a great place to do your Laundry. Open 24/7. ALL PAYMENTS ACCEPTED. Spacious inside. Plenty of brand new heavy-duty modern machines with many features like hot, cold, heavy loads, and extra rinse. Best machines I've seen by far at a laundromat. Small machines are $4, medium $6.5, large $10, and jumbo $13. Customer Service is excellent. Attendants Mario & Piedad were very kind and very knowledgeable of the machines. They both went above and beyond to help me figure out the machines. Mario stopped what he was doing to help me get rid of a stain from a quilt that I was having trouble with. When it comes to washing clothes with tough stains Mario creates miracles. This is the best laundromat in...
