Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in New York

I headed here on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon to unwind and have a nice relaxing day, it consisted of multiple stuff and I happened to be in the neighborhood and remember a nice cafe that I passed by months ago with beautiful designed interior.

. Unfortunately i did head a bit later into the day so most of their pastries had ran out, but their drinks election were quite a good range and clearly had a lot to offer; from their beautifully crafted lattes , to a diverse range of tea selections. Quite a nice classy selection of fine drinks that just make your day feel very fulfilled. After gazing through their drink menu for a while I decided to settle on their special being a strawberry iced tea, able to settle on making a decision being the Strawberry Iced Tea.

Very delightful and pleasant on the tongue, nothing to strong and light to match the day.

Funny enough that day I was a pink day, so I got to match everything accordingly

The atmosphere and ambiance of the interior design of rose was absolutely terrific ! Very relaxing and laid-back yet inviting, complimenting the cafe’s design with a very old brooklyn style, yet very elegant and detailed in design that really reflected perfectly into the café.

All in all, a top rated experience, I invite you to pursue a visit and enjoy your coffee session here; I can assure you I’m definitely coming back...

Love love love Sweetleaf, but DO NOT go here with large or office orders. There is usually only one employee so obviously this is difficult for them. Visits with large orders are the only times that i have received bad service and attitude from Sweetleaf employees. The most recent time we were given a lot of huffs and puffs about how they “don’t typically do these types of orders” and if they do then “tipping is mandatory.” I totally feel for the employees, but at the same time this can totally be conveyed in a more hospitable manner - I hope they also realize that we can take out $100 order to a coffee chain that has many employees but we’d much prefer to support a small local place instead. I can’t imagine it is too insane for a popular place in Brooklyn to get an order of 15 coffees (I’ve definitely had to get much larger orders for work of 20-30 coffees at other coffee shops). Maybe large orders should go somewhere like Brooklyn Roast, who never seem to have an issue with serving...

Can't talk much about the food since I mainly have coffee here but I love it! The staff is really friendly and was helpful when I needed a recommendation. They have free wifi, outlets, and a bathroom. The music and atmosphere are vibey and it's generally quiet (at least the day I went). This made it a pretty good place for me to study in.

edit: Friend and I came in and tried some new stuff I had the BEC on a bagel and my friend had a wrap, both were pretty good. I will say however, that paying $10 for a bec seemed crazy at the beginning, but it was an appropriate portion size and it was delicious. Their Matcha is not as smooth as I would've liked it to be which made it not so enjoyable to drink. But their vanilla latte was delicious and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her maple latte. I continue to see myself studying here in the future.
