CTown Supermarkets — Local services in New York

Decent amount of selection for both basic and specialty items. Most items I searched for were of high quality. They also were very conscientious about social distancing and mask wearing. They are also one of the few supermarkets in Greenpoint that carry a large variety of both gluten free and vegan/vegetarian items.

I do have to dock a star as a decent chunk of the produce looked past its prime and in a few cases with some of the berries had spots mold growing on them. Considering this is one of the pricier spots in the neighborhood for groceries, especially for produce, I do have to note this. Other items like eggplant, carrots, and avocados however...

Solid grocery shopping in Greenpoint. Friendly staff (not sure what other people expect and are complaining about?). Always a quick checkout experience because it doesn’t get too crowded. Aisles are wider than other NYC groceries. Always clean. Checking the quality of your produce is always standard at any grocery, this store is no different (not sure what people are complaining about, check the tags people). Been going here for nearly 30yrs..the service is ok I suppose..depending on the cashier you see..lately it's been very mediocre. The deli on the other hand I give those guys 5* very patient and kind great professionalism even if management doesn't stock up all the necessary meats. The general supermarket stock is ..standard, nothing special or that sticks out..meats are a bit pricey. Produce is a gamble if you can find items that are not rotated out..so ultimately if your a gambler this is the spot for you. 50/50 chance on...
