Wheeler Hotel Bronx — Hotel in New York

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! My wife and I booked a room with this hotel two weeks in advance of our anniversary weekend trip to NYC and paid ahead of time. After watching a Broadway show and heading to Wheeler Hotel via tram which took nearly an hour to get to (& fees), we arrived to be told that our room was not available. The woman working refunded our money but my wife and I spent the rest of the night out on the streets of NYC since 30+ hotels we checked with were completely booked for the holiday weekend. We booked a train to go home the following day around 8pm, but had to cut our weekend short by paying yet another an additional fee to get it changed to a 7am departure since we were dead beat tired after being awake all night sitting in the lobby of a gracious Hilton Hotel downtown. Because thus hotel didn't honor our pre-paid reservation, they ruined the remainder of out get away and cost us several additional fees in just trying to get home. Absolutely horrible! Do not waste your time or money unless you are looking to get laid. Doors are heavy and they slam. Housekeeping all through the day/night. Non smoking property is a lie!! Got woke up at 6 a.m to the fire alarm going off due to someone smoking in their room right next to us. When approached about it front desk questioning my husband “where does it say no smoking?” It’s right here on your web site! Not deserving of the 2 star rating! Had a friend come with us to drop off some bags and desk gave us a hard time “only 2 people in the room at a time” Stressing to us it’s the policy! I have never liked to make this type of post but really this “hotel” is horrible I paid for two nights and I checked in at 5 am the next day and I had to wait for them to give me a room after we uploaded that It was horrible and to top it all there was no toilet paper there were the cleaning people outside they did not stop yelling and we could not sleep at all I call Expedia to have them buy the accommodation to cancel the night I was staying because of the bad smell that was in that place and the noise because I decided that I was not going to stay and the people of the hotel did not want to cancel the remaining night, much less expedite. Never visit that place, it's the worst in every way, bad service, frustration, paying for something, and when you see what I saw at that time, seriously tired, anything I say shouldn't be bought...

Nunca me ha gustado hacer este tipo de publicaciones pero en verdad este “hotel” es horrible pague por dos noches y hice el chequeo a las 5 am de la madrugada del día siguiente y tuve que esperar para que puedan darme una habitación luego que subimos aquello fue horrible y para colmo ni papel de baño había las personas de la limpieza afuera no dejaban de vocear y no pudimos dormir nada llamo a Expedía que a ellos le compre el alojamiento para cancelar la noche que me quedaba porque entre el mal olor que había en ese lugar y la bulla pues decidí que no me iba a quedar y la gente del hotel no quisieron cancelar la noche restante ni mucho menos expedía. Nunca visiten ese lugar es lo peor en todo sentido mal servicio que frustración pagar por algo y que cuando ves lo que yo vi a esa hora cansada en serio que cualquier cosa que yo diga no...
