Chef Quang — Restaurant in New York

I enjoy buying from this restaurant but their customer service is completely horrible. If a business advertise that they close at 9:15PM, they never answer their phone at least an hour or an hour and a half to prior to their closing time. They take excessively long to prepare their food and to deliver. They should really look into Doing Uber eats instead of using one or two people to do deliveries. Its completely ridiculous. Tonight I began to call around 8:15PM and they did not answer their phone, I wanted to place an order for pickup. The first few times of calling it just rings out. I called from both my numbers and no answer. After that they realize that your constantly calling they take the phone of the hook so u get a busy signal. Since you care so much about closing early and not serving by a certain time just close by 7/8PM and call it a day. Heard a LOT about the food here, so since I am a "foodie", I took the hour drive from LI to check it out. I was very disappointed and a little sad. The fried rice was decent (just like home cooked fried rice, which is fine) but the 4 or 5 little pieces of chicken (more like scraps) that came with it was not nearly enough compared to other Guyanese West Indian restaurants. The duck curry ($12.95) was terrible. No distinctive taste whatsoever !!! I also read about the Black Pudding (Lamb) being good, so I tried an order ($10.95) which was typical of any other place, except more money here !! Clearly this is NOT made there, but catered from somewhere else !! The Pork Lo Mein was just bland !!! The Goat curry was ok, but the goat was clearly not "washed" well before cooking... TWO HOURS AFTER ORDERING AND OUR FOOD STILL ISN'T HERE!!!!! We even waited on the stoop for the food and no one came! Confused, starving and pissed off!!!

We order from grubhub all the time. This was our first time ordering on the yelp app and from this restaurant. We have never had an issue with delivery. This type of food shouldn't take longer than 35-40 minutes for delivery. We already placed an order from our regular Chinese spot and it was half the price/will be here shortly.

Ordered food at 8:02. Tried to be patient as I know it's Saturday night. Called at 9:17 to check on our order. They said it was going out "right now." We are literally 2 blocks away from them, but our food is still not here at 9:56. I have been trying to call the restaurant since 9:37 but it is busy or goes to voicemail. Definitely won't be ordering...
