Had a lovely night here. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great service. But there was an experience that soured the night. When I closed out my tab, I accidentally tipped a little lower than I should have (and I take full responsibility for being bad at math, I’ll make a point to double check my numbers in the future, especially when I’m tipsy), and the bar sent someone over to our table to passive aggressively question the amount I tipped. I totally understand bartenders/service workers aren’t paid properly and rely on tips. But if you’re going to police people on their tips, I suggest adding a suggested tip on the receipt or even require a tip of a certain percentage when the bill reaches a specific amount. I’ve been to establishments who implement these tactics and it’s a welcome method to make sure everyone is happy and paid reasonably. Much better than accosting your customers. This is a place to go for a nice night with good wine. This is not a place to go if you...

Read moreService here was mid! Was rlly excited to try this place. The place was nearly empty and we wanted to check out the rooftop and the staff rudely yelled at us across the room that it was closed (there was no sign to indicate this). Then we sat down and weren’t told that we have to order at the bar bc the staff were too busy standing around talking. If I’m going to drop $$$ on two glasses of wine the least you could do is say hello and let us know we order at the bar. We left and went up the street to Palmetto and got better service and...
