can only speak for the plain cheese pizza slices aka “The Rita” — that said, pizza in Bushwick is in safe hands at Sauce and Soda. the slices are on the larger side bc the pies are 20” so the slices are a bit more substantial. the crust is on the crispier side so it has a bit of crunch and flakiness but still a firm airy charred crust that holds up a flavorful tomato sauce and a thin layer of melted mozzarella. the balance of thinness of the slices while still remaining relatively solid and not flopping is a great balance for a delivery of sauce, cheese, and crust. there are a variety of slices here on top of of non-pizza items but i say order the plain ‘zza and enjoy the beauty of simplicity. the interior is very very clean. there is seating by the window and small tables that line one side of the pizzeria. the pizza shop is brightly lit and welcoming while still having a modern vibe / look. the service has been quick & friendly and they make sure your slices come out hot not lukewarm.

First off, Sauce and Soda is our go-to because the pizza is normally AMAZING. However, tonight's experience was not good. I placed my order through the Slice app. We ordered a large pie and a chicken parmesan hero. I promptly received a call to tell me they didn't have bread for the hero, and that they were unable to refund me. I requested they just use the remaining ingredients to make me a small chicken parm pizza, and they did. Pretty simple request to ask of any pizzeria. However, they burned the pizza so badly that I couldn't eat it. I did try to down one slice but it tasted like charcoal. We had to wait an hour to receive this mess, too. I called Sauce and Soda in hopes of them making it right, but the person who answered the call couldn't speak English well enough to communicate with me.

Near the subway station Jefferson off the L line. It was convenient for me, I didn’t want to walk to the pizzeria I usually frequent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I was very skeptical about how good the pizza will be just based on how it looked. Surprisingly the pizza was amazing. Very crunchy and the tomato sauce was very robust and flavorful. Don’t mind the garlic powder, I was accidentally a little heavy handed. Indoor seating is available, but I took it to go. The crust was also thin and crunchy which I loved, I only eat it when it’s done this way. At just under 5 bucks, the price could be better but I’d say it’s comparable to the prices in area. They do accept card.

The service in this place is the worse! I walked into this establishment well dressed with a friend. We asked for 3 slices with Italian sausage. The female behind the counter tried to convince us to order a pie. After telling her 3 times we only wanted those three slices, she spoke to her male coworker in spanish asking him do we make slices like that. He replied back in spanish, "Of course we do". I am fluent in spanish so I said to both of them in spanish that I had ordered this sane order here before a few times with no problems. The male worker once again said of course. I thought speaking to them in spanish would erase any language barriers....but it didn't help. Three clients later, that client asked for 4 slices with sausage and peperoni. They immediately began working on that clients order by making a sausage and peperoni pie. Everyone else that came after us got their order and left. When the sausage and peperoni pie was complete, they handed that client his 4 slices of sausage and peperoni then handed me and my friend 3 of the remaining slices of the pie. By this time, we had been there for about 30 minutes and looked at the two workers there confused and disgusted. I told them I never said anything about peperoni. In my opinion they just made what was easiest for them. They never apologized or tried to fix the mistake. Ironically I had to order a whole regular pie in addition to this and as soon as I stood up they ran to get the pie and get me out of there as fast as possible. Horrible service, horrible treatment. Dont waste your...

We order a few pies from here, gave it a try. And was surprised that it was so tasty. The prosciutto arugula pizza was something to write home about. Everyone loved it. I saw a suggestion here to get it and so I did and it was definitely worth it. The other pizzas were good too. We got take out and brought it to a nearby bar. Update, went back for a slice, ordered a white mushroom, broccoli slide, and garlic knots. The girl working that day was so rude, when the pizza was warmed up, I said that is not what we ordered. She went into a whole spiel about how if I want a mushroom slide I needed to order it saying "shrom" and not "white mushroom" as the words "white mushroom" means only a white slice. There were two mushroom pizzas there one on red and one on white, how am I supposed to know I needed to say "shroom slice"? Additionally the broccoli slice she gave us was the vegan vegetable slice and tasted terrible, and the garlic knots where not warmed up. I also think she overcharged us based on the posted prices on the board. She was miserable, don't work in customer facing job if you hate people that much. After that experience I would never get slices here again. I probably will go back if I need a full pie,...
