UPDATE RESPONSE TO OWNER: *please see photo of owners response* Your disrespect is loud and clear it’s JAZMYNE. I have no reason to lie just like you tried to gaslight me in person with my bf. Your math in your response still doesn’t add up to $86…I know what I asked for. Also, I did come in with my hands looking just like these photos which was taken that same morning. Once again your statement is contradicting to the proof. I never was given an option of the two removals types you mentioned nor do you address why my treatment was different from those I came with. I’m not even going go to address the race comment bc there’s many reviews on here from POC that prove my point. I’m sorry you’re upset about my comment but maybe instead of gaslighting ex patron you should learn to say sorry and focus on training your workers properly to keep the clientele you do have. UPDATE: I went in the next morning to let them know my service was horrible to which she saw my nail and agreed. But I was told that I should’ve spoken up in the moment and they had a busy day and we were their last appointment. Literally any excuse but blaming a customer is wild. Worst customer service ever I only got $25 of the $86 I was charged back. The ā€œmanagerā€ couldn’t do the math of how I was charged $86 and my bf and friend different. I was so frustrated I took what I could get and left. I won’t be returning and will tell anyone who will listen do not go here! Worst experience ever! I will never be back!! I paid $86 for a pedicure and manicure. With my pedicure it was the $45 callus removing one which I never got a 6 minute massage that is advertised and my feet still feel as though they are rough still bc they did not use a callus removing scraper. Now the $41 manicure… So my friend and I both had gel on our nails from previous appt. They used the soaking with foil and a motorized tool to remove her gel and I was subjected to a tool they use to push cuticles back and a nail filler. I didn’t want any polish and just wanted a good clean and cutting of my nail. Look at the photo zoomed in you will see my cuticles are not cleaned there random chunks cut and not even I still have residue on my nails from the gel I had on before. Honestly might get an infection they are so red on one of my hands. Also she cut me and I was bleeding from cuticle and she just wiped it no sorry or anything. My friend was charged $80 for her GEL mani/pedi My boyfriend $40 we got the same pedicure So the math is not adding up…this is very disappointing This is my 3rd time here I had stopped going bc the second time I went I believed I was over charged but now that I have evidence bc of the people with me I will no longer be going back. I was with my white boyfriend and my white friend and I’m a black woman and this treatment just didn’t sit right with me at all. This was just so horrible overall.

I came today to get my acrylics off and it was the worst service I have ever experienced. The lady who serviced me (seemed like that manager) was very disrespectful, agitated, and unprofessional. Not only was she extremely rough but being very rude towards me. She used the drill but I guess didn’t know how to control it because it kept going off my nail and onto my skin. Not only that, but she was getting extremely frustrated with how long she was taking and started PULLING the tips off causing me extreme pain. She was speaking in Spanish under her breath about how mad she was at me for coming in and asking her to remove my acrylic. After almost two hours of pain and hearing her disrespect, I came out of the salon with cotton on my fingers, polish all over my hands, and uneven nails. If she didn’t know how to properly remove acrylics, all she had to do was just say that and I would’ve gone to a place that knew what they were doing.

I was going here religiously for a few months, always SNS. some of the nail techs are really talented. DO NOT LET the lady who works the front desk file your nails. She cannot work the electric file to save her life. Every time she would try to remove my powder she would push down way to hard with the file or drag the tip across my nail. Last time I was there she did this and cause extreme damage to my nail. I’ve never gotten extensions in my life but now have a ā€œring of fireā€ on my nail. I should have trusted my gut and not let her work on my hands the first two times she kept on slipping with the file. She needs to be trained before she handles your hands. If you go there, make sure one of the licensed nail techs remove your polish instead of the lady at the front desk.

So I wasn’t sure whether or not I wanted to write a review because I’ve been here multiple times over the years and had mostly positive experiences, however, I came in this weekend and had an absolutely unacceptable experience with a woman who seemed to be the manager of the salon (not my nail tech who was very kind and skilled — the only reason I’m leaving a second star). I then came to look at the reviews and was surprised to see that many other Black women had negative experiences like mine and I decided I had to speak up.

When I first arrived at the salon I checked in for my appointment with the (literal) child who was working the front desk. After checking in with the manager (I assume his mother) to tell her I was here, he asked me ā€˜how long I could wait’. I said ā€˜not long’ because I was leaving on a trip the next day and still had a lot of errands to run (which was true), and I made an appointment to prevent a long wait time. At that point this point the manager walked out and I repeated the same. She more or less indicated they would fit me in soon and told me to pick a color. The interaction was quick and seemed pretty harmless. Edit: I meant to mention the detail that a few minutes after this interaction a group of four women who appeared to be White (and I'm sure also had appointments) walked right in for their pedicures and were seated right away.

Fast forward to me sitting in the chair for my pedicure with a different technician (who ended up being great but I didn’t get her name) a few minutes later and I was pretty sure I’d heard the manager ask my technician if I spoke Spanish (in Spanish) to which she replied she didn’t know (I do but, it was hard to hear over all the background noise of the other people and the music which was why I was unsure what she’d said at first). But I pieced it together when, twice, while I was getting my previous coat of nail polish removed, the manager came over and commented in Spanish about how ā€˜bad’ my feet looked (I take very good care of my feet and that simply wasn’t true, the nails were just in need of some light maintenance which was why I’d went in) and kept saying ā€œMarta Maria,ā€ while blatantly looking at my feet as she walked over and continued making little jokes. My nail tech looked visibly uncomfortable and clearly didn’t know what to say. The whole thing felt very much like bullying or high school ā€˜mean girl’ behavior which was very surprising to me as I’d been here so many times and hadn’t had an issue. I pretended not to understand because I wasn’t in the mood to confront her and the manager wasn’t my nail tech. I tipped my tech well and left but this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

What I thought was interesting was that each of the 6 chairs in the pedicure section was full while I was there, and yet I, the only Black woman, was the only person she decided to pick on. It was definitely disappointing and I hope that this establishment will do better in setting and enforcing codes of conduct that will ensure all of their patrons are treated with the same respect we give them.

Edit: Thank you to the management team who responded to my review. I appreciate your quick and empathetic note. I wanted to clarify that I only had the issue with one person, who seemed to be acting as a manager that day. The nail tech who actually did my nails was wonderful. She seemed kind and great at her job ( I didn't get her name). I appreciate you looking into this further and will give the salon another try in the future as I've had positive experiences in the past....

I have gone to this place a handful of times at this point and I’ve just become more and more disappointed. My first visit here was AMAZING! The woman who worked on me put in WORK on my toes - I had not had a pedicure in quite a while at that point but she took her time and my feet were flawless at the end and she did a good job on my nails too. I wish I had gotten her name and info bc I’ve never had as good as an experience since. It seems like every time I go back the service is worse. At one point this was my go to place bc it was close by and fairly cheap but unlike my first visit the service was always just so-so. After my friend visited and had a terrible experience where the tech left her bleeding and her cuticles in shambles I decided it was time to call it quits. I only went here if I didn’t have time to go to my new regular place that was farther away but every time I go back now the service is just not very good. That brings me to today… I went in today bc I didn’t have time to go to my other regular place this morning and I was too lazy to go after a long day outside. The pedicure was just meh - I expect my feet to be baby soft after a pedicure on otherwise what’s the point and but I can still feel some dry and cracked bits. What really did me in was the gel manicure though. Firstly she went pretty hard on my cuticles which I don’t mind unless you’re hurting me but I started bleeding at one point she apologized we moved on (wasn’t the first time someone had made me bleed here btw) but I am literally still bleeding hours later. And then I had to argue with her about doing an extra coat of color (which I don’t usually do) since the color I chose was a light color and looked pretty patchy on a few of the fingers. She tired it say I would have to pay extra even though part of the reason was since I had darker skin the color it’s going to take light colors more coats to be opaque but also the color was applied patchy. And after all that the I still left with one of my nails being dinted and messed up but I was over it at that point. I don’t really blame the nail tech bc in the end I think the overall service from this place has drastically changed and continued to decline. If you go here and you find someone who actually does a GOOD job then remember their face and get their name and schedule bc taking a chance on anyone else here is not worth it! If you live down the street and can’t find anywhere else sure go here but this is not a place I would come for amazing service or recommend to other people if they have another...
