I recently had the most unfortunate dining experience at Corrados, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the restaurant was not prepared to provide the level of service one would expect.
Despite there being only a few occupied tables, it took a long time for someone to acknowledge our presence and offer us water. We patiently waited for a waiter to greet us, but it took an additional 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. This initial delay set the tone for what would turn out to be a disastrous evening.
As we were dining with young children, we made it clear to the waiter that we needed our entire order to be placed at once. We followed his recommendations and ordered the rice balls, calamari, and pear salad as appetizers, and the bolognese and lamb chops for the main course. To our surprise, the appetizers arrived promptly within 10 minutes of ordering. However, that was the end of any positive experience we had.
For the next 45 minutes, we watched as other tables around us were served their meals and enjoyed their dining experience, while we were left waiting in frustration. Multiple attempts to inquire about our order were met with vague reassurances from our waiter, Alex, who repeatedly claimed that our food was "coming in one minute." This pattern of false promises and disappearing acts continued, leaving us feeling ignored and neglected.
Finally, after nearly an hour of waiting, we had reached our limit. We approached Alex and expressed our frustration, insisting on canceling our order and receiving the bill. But even then, he continued to string us along, promising that the food was almost ready. It became clear that our concerns were being disregarded, and we reluctantly decided to ask for our order to be packaged to go.
To add insult to injury, the to-go order took an additional 10 minutes to be prepared, while the manager, who seemed more interested in flirting with someone at the bar, failed to intervene and rectify the situation. This lack of professional behavior and disregard for customer satisfaction was nothing short of appalling.
As a former restaurant worker myself, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, the unprofessionalism displayed by the waiter, the manager's lack of attention, and the inappropriate comment on the final bill, which indicated that our order had been forgotten, were simply inexcusable.
My experience at Corrados was nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of poor service, extensive wait times, lack of communication, unprofessional behavior, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction left a lasting negative impression. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Corrados to anyone based on my experience.
It is my hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve their service and customer experience. Dining out should be an enjoyable and memorable experience, and unfortunately, Corrados fell far short of meeting those...
Read moreWe came last night with a group of 5 and the evening started out nice enough. Frankie, I believe his name was, greeted us and was very friendly. We had drinks at the bar before we started dinner. Our bartender was friendly, made good cocktails, and attentive. After we sat for dinner, we were offered the dinner menu and specials menu, but not the family style menu posted online. After requesting the menu, we were given the $70 option and $80 option but were told the $60 one was no longer available (restaurant should update their website). We chose the $70 option which was very reasonably priced considering the amount of food we had gotten. We did have to request our first round of drinks at the table (beer, wine, sangria were included) and were told we had limited options, only one type of red and white and limited beer selection, but they were kind enough to offer us additional options. This is where it went south. After the initial round of drinks, our server never came back to offer another round, never checked if we needed anything or asked how the food was (it was good but it’s always a good idea to touch the table). We were never offered refills on our water either and we were there over 2 hours. We had to ask a bus person twice for water after he ignored our first request and they never removed any of the empty glasses off of the table, which we set to the side for easy pick up. When dessert came, we were never offered coffee, which also came with the family style meal, and we had to wave over our server to even get that. It wasn’t busy, and considering that two of us at the table are both industry workers, we thought the service was pretty poor and enough for us not to recommend returning. On top of that, we had gratuity added to our bill, which is usually reserved for groups of 6 or more and it was also never noted on the menu. We still would have given 20% which is our standard, but we were annoyed with the auto gratuity based on the lack of service...
Read moreLet me just preface by saying this is my first review of a restaurant , Ive never have a bad enough experience to write one until today
First time in this establishment , when going in noticed That everyone was wearing casual yet dress like cloths I just had a T shirt , ball cap and shorts ( might be the reason why me and my date were treated differently , only reason I’m writing what I had on) , first we were seated givin the bread basket then had to wait 15 min for our server to even come by , didn’t introduce himself just asked what we wanted to drink was then given the drink by another staff member , then the waiter came by 10 min later to take our food order which was the last we saw of him , my date was half done with the drink by the time the food came out , we both finished our waters at this point and my date finished her drink she wanted another but there was no one that even came to check how the food was after the first few bites ( at which point my date had already been done with her drink for 10min) , she just went to the manager and explained that we had to wait 15 min after being seated to have our drink orders taken and another 10-15 min for the food order to be taken , and that she had wanted another drink but there was no one to take her refill order , I had already been done with my meal for about 10 min , plate taken as well then my waiter comes by to refill the water , and the manger completely missed the point of how we were treated and just gave her a drink , tables around us were visited multiple times by someone who seemed to be the manager/owner just seemed like we’re were skipped over a few times even though our waiter passed our table a few times and was in the corner of the dining room a few tables away from us , all we needed was some communication on what to expect if they were short staffed or busy so we know what to expect , bad first experience at this...
