Country Thyme Cuisine — Restaurant in New York

I was introduced to this venue by my friend around Mother’s Day weekend. I had lunch which consisted of cow foot, white rice n vegetables. I must say it was very delicious. I mean they gave such a large portion for a small size. It took 2 days to finish. I am an avid food critic here on google. If I give their food a 5 star it has to be good. The staff is very pleasant. I went there a 2nd time had the stew peas n rice. Yes that was good as well. My family came in from Fl, they enjoyed the food too. I just received word that my brother is making another trip there momentarily. Overall, food is good! Yes, the venue stands alone, parking is quite limited. But if you double park, no one bothers you. Understand it’s a long wait to be served. But it’s worth it! Service I gave a 4 bc it can be improved with all the servers wearing visible hairnets n gloves. For the atmosphere I have a 4 it can be improved to have a bit more order as ppl are waiting to be served. More lighting etc. Overall, very nice place to go and get authentic...

The usual food I get here is curry goat. It’s tasty with mild spice in it and the server gave me a big big big no joke big portion of food. For $10.40 small square container she filled the container up to the top. No wonder she put the cabbages in a separate foil bag. I appreciate that. My only concern was the sweet potato pie I got has white mold. I love sweet potatoes so I scooped out the mold and still ate the pie lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ . I feel like the pie is a rip off for $3.40. This size is usually $1.99. Anyways will come back to try other dishes. I was asking if I can have half and half meat cause I wanted to try the beans with feet of chicken. She said they don’t do that. If she’s gonna give me a big portion of the curry goat which I cannot really finish why not just give me little bit of two dish. It’s like paying for two meals in one. Would love to try the other ones. Other places you can have two dishes of meat and rice and veggies...

Just called to ask about their Grubhub menu, and the rude woman that answered goes:

"WE DONT DO NO GRUBHUB!" click

...and hangs up the phone. Can always count on the staff here to be RUDE.

Would it kill ya'll to smile? It's 2 days before Christmas. The workers here are always in a bad mood.

The rude woman obviously doesn't know what she's talking about because the restaurant exists on Grubhub...someone has to be paying for the account to stay active on there!

Furthermore, their menu on Grubhub is trash! You can only order 5 items and a bottle of water. Makes 0 sense. They serve various kinds seafood, vegetables, juice, etc., so why put up such a minimal menu for online orders?

Add the fried fish, fried fish dumplings, etc!! Those are items you sell daily at the restaurant!

So sad that the original owner died a couple of years ago. He was so friendly and dedicated to...
