It is always an amazing experience when you are in New York City 🗽🇺🇸 exploring the city. As soon as my friends learned I was in town, they insisted on taking me and my family out for dinner 🍽.
My brother from another mother who was a childhood friend that we grew up together, Barrister Christmas Akpodiete had to drive three hours from the State of Connecticut 🇺🇸. My other friend for many years in Nigeria Mr. David Seyi Otaru Miliki also came in from the State of New Jersey 🇺🇸.
They both ensure that we drove in convoy to a prestigious Nigerian restaurant in the Bronx area of New York City 🇺🇸 called Easy Life restaurant for a dinner. It was for me a joy to see my children observe the generosity of my friends right on their faces.
One of my children was to later tell me that "Dad, now I can see and feel the reward of your hosting your friends and visitors nearly every week at our home."
We enjoyed a lavish Nigerian dinner cuisine, full of flavorful dishes. The food was absolutely delicious, and the company was even better. It was a beautiful night, filled with laughter and good food, creating unforgettable memories.
Please join me in appreciating these great men who devoted their very scarce timing to give us these fabulous entertainment. May God bless you guys🙏

Read moreLet me start by saying I absolutely love Nigerian food, I am from Virginia and have an amazing spot Yendidi that I frequent. When you walk into Eazy Life Restaurant it is very nice, clean and good vibes however when I received my order I sent it back because the bowel was half empty. The waitress said that’s the amount the Chef gives. I told them for $30 with an half empty bowel that was unacceptable. The chef came out and told me that was the regular size but since it’s my first time she would add more but I would have to warm it up at home. On to the taste smh the jollof rice was completely burnt tasting. It tasted like the bottom of the pot burnt and they served the top. You can smell the scorched rice as soon as you open the rice. I have had some amazing jollof this was completely shameful. The Egusi soup was tasteless I have to add seasoning and salt to it. The fufu was good tho 🤷🏽♀️. My daughter was excited to try this food because we traveled from VA but after I tasted it, I would not let her try it. Very...
Read moreMy first time ordering from here. I ordered Egusi, moi moi, then Nigerian Jollof Let’s start with the jollof It tasted like party jollof (if you’re African you know) bland, a lil sweet. Not sure why The stew really saved it because otherwise this whole order would’ve been a 1. The Moi moi was good The Egusi. Whoever made the egusi needs their green card revoked. Lucky I’m Nigerian and could eat it because if it was a non Nigerian trying it for the first time, the whole thing would’ve went into the garbage. Absolutely bland, they couldve added more palm oil and chicken flavoring for goodness sake. Even a sprinkle of Lawry’s seasoning. The pounded Yam was fine and smooth. The egusi also had a weird smell similar to bush meat, very earthy scent which is something I’m not used to. If you’re American wanting to try African food for the first time, DO...
