I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at this restaurant. We planned a funeral repass for our family on short notice and finding the perfect place felt like a challenge, but this spot in Mill Basin was truly a hidden gem. Born and raised in Canarsie/Mill Basin, it felt meaningful to return and find such a welcoming and accommodating venue that could host our group of 35-40 people. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, showing genuine empathy and offering their condolences. They handled everything we needed without hesitation, including making sure our two children and elderly, grieving parent were attended to promptly. Every aspect of the meal was phenomenal. The appetizers and main courses were delicious—there was not a single dish, drink, or interaction that fell short. Each server was attentive and kind, ensuring our gathering was seamless. The back room we used was beautifully set up, creating a warm, comforting atmosphere. We received nothing but positive feedback from everyone who attended and it’s safe to say this restaurant has my highest recommendation. “Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience during my difficult time. I’m beyond grateful!” - Ruth

Enjoyed food here for years but will not be doing business here after my last experience! I ordered two pies and a side for $62 about an hour before closing time. Once I got home and opened the boxes I was greeted to one burnt pie and another pie with the wrong toppings. It wasn’t a big deal at the time because the pizza was already in a hungry household at dinner time and I figured I’ll just stop by the restaurant the following day to show a picture and hopefully rectify the situation. The following day came and it was snowing which hindered me from making it to the restaurant so I figured I’ll just call. After I called and explained I was rudely told “I should’ve called yesterday”, “there’s nothing that can be done now”….as if they aren’t a pizzeria anymore. I’m not one to leave reviews but as a fellow business owner, this is not how you treat a customer.

This establishment is both dine in and carry out, where people can order pizza from the counter and walk out in less than 2 minutes. My boyfriend and I opted to dine in, and we waited over 30 minutes for our pizza, only for my dish to come to us lukewarm, looking extremely unappetizing. The waiter told us my boyfriend's food was already on the way out as he brought us the first dish, so we waited about 5 minutes longer before finally deciding to leave. The place only had 1 other table when we came in and was quickly serving other patrons pizza at the counter as we were waiting, which can only lead me to believe this experience was to intentionally ice us out, me being biracial and my boyfriend being Indian. The other patrons seemed to be having a good time, but we won't be back, and I'm sure this business doesn't mind.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza D Amore, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The menu, with its focus on Italian cuisine, has something to please all guests. Whether you're a pizza lover, a fan of calamari, or crave a comforting plate of pasta, this pizzeria has you covered.

The pizza at Pizza D Amore is truly a standout. The crust was perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of chewiness and crispness. The toppings were generous and flavorful, creating a mouthwatering combination. I highly recommend trying their pizzas; they are definitely a highlight of the menu.

In addition to their excellent pizzas, Pizza D Amore also offers other Italian classics, such as calamari and pasta. The calamari was tender and expertly seasoned, while the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection. The variety of options ensures that there's something for everyone, no matter their preference.

To complement the delicious food, Pizza D Amore offers a selection of good wines. The staff is knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect pairing for your meal. A glass of wine is a great way to start your dining experience and enhance the flavors of the dishes.

One of the standout features of Pizza D Amore is their food delivery service. It provides convenience for those who prefer to enjoy their meal in the comfort of their own homes. The delivery service was prompt and the food arrived fresh and hot, maintaining the same quality as if dining in the restaurant.

The atmosphere at Pizza D Amore is another aspect that adds to the overall experience. The pretty ambiance creates a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or on a romantic date, you'll find the atmosphere to be charming and inviting.

Overall, I highly recommend Pizza D Amore for anyone seeking delicious Italian cuisine. The menu offers a wide range of options, from mouthwatering pizzas to delectable calamari and pasta. The convenience of their food delivery service is an added bonus, and the pretty atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience. Give Pizza D Amore a try; you won't be...

When I arrived, the restaurant was quiet, not exactly busy. The decor was decent, nicer than your regular mom and pop pizzeria. I ordered my pizza and it wasn't what I expected. Chewy and no signs of burning or charring which I usually like. It was just soft, chewy and limp. I had the Caesar and my friend got a plain slice. She felt the same. The staff seemed the be friendly with the regulars that walked in, but pretty quiet with non-frequent customers like me. In the past I ate on the restaurant side and it was nice. Not sure about now. All I know is that the pizzeria side is less than mediocre. I got a glass bottled soda and asked for help opening it and the guy behind the counter told me it was a twist of. I started that I knew that and handed him the bottle saying I couldn't open it... So service-wise they could have been nice about it and just opened it without saying anything. I took a spinach roll to go for my parents and we ate it the next day. It was overly cheesy and did not taste like what I expected a spinach roll to taste like from a Brooklyn pizzeria. So the experience was more than...
