DEJA BREW CAFE — Restaurant in New York

Okay so I found this place on TikTok. Walked in @459pm sat down , nobody came up to us until 522pm. Place is but so big was only 4 couples in the cafe including me and my partner. After finally being greeted we knew what we wanted since waiting that long. We both order chicken and waffles- with fries and home fries. Both ordered drinks “ice tea & orange juice” after he took our order I’m assuming the manager is who came up to the table to inform us he doesn’t have any of the two beverages we asked for. “I don’t drink nothing else on menu that’s why ordered OJ.” We both went with water because he couldn’t accommodate any drinks close to what we asked for. Fast forward we waited another 20 minutes for food no issue with that. Food came out and looked very good but the food was TERRIBLE. I paid about 55$ for two orders of chicken and Waffle and water. The chicken is really bad in my opinion as well as my partner. They didn’t inform us we would have some type of sauce on the chicken which threw the entire meal off. Waffles completely dry besides they two bottom layers which was completely soaked in the sauce from chicken which is completely nasty I couldn’t even eat it. I ate just the top two waffles. My fries was COMPLETELY over seasoned. My throat was burning with how much seasoning was put on the fries. The service from staff was okay I don’t think they know how to properly attend to the customers. I was very disappointed in the entire experience and didn’t want to be rude so I paid and left without even eating anything on that plate besides the two top waffles. I drove 2hrs and 12min to ...
