This place made my day. It was extremely early in the morning and -7 degrees Celsius outside, I needed a good place to have a good healthy warm breakfast and just occasionally walked in. It had everything I need, lots of healthy options like porridge, fruits, nuts any warm beverages (many tea sorts). The buffet was very well organized with dishes for every taste, beautifully staged, rice had a nice texture, there were variety of eggs, vegetarian options, meat and sausage, sandwiches, lots of veggies. Stewed sweet potatoes with raisins stole my heart. Think mornings is the best time to come to this deli, because everything is just in time cooked, freshest. Also I liked the little stories on the walls like the “history of noodles dated 4000BC in China”, some inspirational quotes and the welcoming of the diversity. The prices are on the level of NYC, especially given it is promixity to Rockefeller Center. The quality of food in my opinion exceed the price level ( of course it is subjective). The personal was friendly and somehow toned a nice atmosphere (though people have to come to work extremely early to start preparing the buffet). I definitely recommend this place, normally I’m a “grumpy” and...

Worst Service I ever have! This deli do not even deserve a star.I simply wanted a simple bread with butter and jelly and was given the wrong order bagel with avocado. That is ok people sometime make mistake, all the hispanic server can do is just to change it and give me the right one. Even the other server beside him  was understood and told him what is exactly my order is, this particular server still insisted of making another wrong order which is still the bagel with avocado and said he is not going to serve me any more and waved his hand adruptly to ask me get out. This is totally an unacceptable serving attitude presented.I asked for manager after very much nosense excuses from a hispanic cashier. Yes I finally got my butter and jelly sandwish which I dare not eat anymore. Last but not least the little reminder for anyone before you go preferably have to learned some hispanic language and make sure not in the morning if possible, because this deli may ruin your day which no one is...

The food is pretty good. Today I told an ansian female clerk I wanted french dressing in a cup. Someone brought a salad and forgot the dressing. She was very, very nasty, unprofessional and do not know how to speak the English well!!! She was saying something about buying a dressing and that she knows her customers. I need to bring a receipt. How many people keep their receipts? What does that has to do with what I am asking for. It does not take much to do something small for someone. This goes to show how DUMB this asian woman is because I am a customer. Whether a purchase was made or not it is a way to speak to people! I told her I will go somewhere else! People do not realize how they can loose customers and cut their blessings! If she gave me the dressing in a cup I would have given her a $1.00 tip. ** Usually I buy from the buffet but since today I will Never go in the Deli again!!😡😡 Her day will...

They are violating NY state law by charging consumers more for using a credit card. That is illegal. And it will be reported to the Attorney General. Highly illegal and clear THEFT! From NY DOS website: “Many consumers and businesses are confused when it comes to surcharges in the marketplace,” said Secretary of State Rossana Rosado, who oversees the New York State Division of Consumer Protection. “New York businesses must advertise accurate prices. A business may offer a discount if consumers pay in cash, but cannot charge more at the register simply because a consumer uses their credit card.” If you cannot afford merchant service fees then stop taking credit cards or raise your prices. It's quite simple. But this new policy is illegal and you will be reported. It's going to cost you more in violations that you will receive from NYS.

DONT GO HERE. RACIST. The Deli48 deserves ZERO stars. RACISM AT ITS PEAK. I was vaction with my white husband decided to stop in for some coffee. My husband went to pay while I was sitting. She told her waiter to remove me from the chair and remove all chairs around despite me telling her and waiter my husband was sitting there. At the register, my husband told her she was disgusting and rude! Long story short, cops were there and did nothing. We left. Worst experience on a vacation!! Imagine blatant racism at this day and age.
