Guys if you're interested in some good clean, hearty food that tastes like your mom made it (or very close to it) this Dig Inn is the best one! The staff is so welcoming and they ACTUALLY have knowledge on the food so if you ask for a suggestion you'll get personal suggestions you know you can count on. I really love the baked mac and cheese and the salmon especially since the salmon is grilled and warm! I went to another dig inn and it was cold and nasty. The lemon ginger drink they have tastes so good especially when Precious makes it! (I had to find out who made it). On a managerial level though I have to point out how efficient the whole process is. There are a lot of food places around and getting food in those places normally feels like going through a maze. But at this Dig Inn no matter how long the lines are you can gurantee that the lines move very quickly even in the busy lunch hour. Whoever is running this restaurant made sure that the process is so smooth that you're really in and out. I don't even remember being told they're out of something and if they did one of the staffers all ways make sure to double check the back. The place is always clean! Even the glass that separates you from the food is transparent and garbage never piles up in the trash can! Do you know how gross it is to eat somewhere and you can see everyone else's left over peeking out the trash?! That being said kudos to the manager and their amazing employees! I love your food and your great service! Oh and if you don't have time to wait on line( not that you need much) you can always...
Read moreA solid build-your-bowl place. Reading their mission on the site tells you they're focused on unpretentious food. This much is true. They feature staples in cookery that one sees at home, not something super unique or gimmicky. And, from how it tastes, it all works. They have a small range of options for proteins, about four. There's about 5 vegetable sides you can choose from, 2 grain bases, multiple cold salads, and Mac and cheese. I usually get the classic, which is chicken, rice, broccoli, and sweet potato. It's an unassuming bowl of food but it is very well made. The potatoes are charred and sweet. Broccoli is also charred with lemon. Chicken isn't dry and has a good spice flavoring. The rice is a bit gritty. They also offer a limited selection of desserts. Their chocolate chip cookies are very good, with some texture and plenty of chocolate chips. They offer a variety of sauces for each bowl you build. I personally think you can't go wrong with the garlic aioli, unless you don't like garlic. Dig is a solid spot overall for lunch and it offers good flavor for the price. Their foods are also pretty hearty so a bowl will last you a good amount. I started coming weekly and will probably...
Read moreStarted working in Midtown last week so I'm making my rounds to all the local spots to see where my go-to lunch spot will be. There can only be one. I get a $20 stipend a day too so it's about to get ugly!! Initial impression of DIG is that I've never seen so many men in white or light blue button downs, slacks, dress shoes, and all with the same haircut and just same energy in general. I am in the finance bro capital of the world though so I should have expected it. The only other thing I will say is the older I get the more I appreciate individuality. The food is clean with quality ingredients, it genuinely reminds me of a home cooked meal as opposed to the volume cooking most of these other fast casual restaurants use. I went with a chicken bowl with Farro, Kale Salad, Sweet Potatoes, and Chicken. These sweet potatoes bro.............. my goodness. My coworker and I were bonding over this, they are perfectly charred on the outside, but soft and easy to bite through on the inside. They are the PERFECT sweet potato. DIG high stepping to the endzone for this...
