Terrible shawarma. Saw this place in front of dunkin, and thought it would be good. I'm not sure why this place has so many highly rated reviews because my visit was anything but pleasant.
I was the only one standing in line, and it was almost 90 degrees outside. Despite this, it took the two guys working there 20 minutes just to prep my order. One of them kept leaving the truck to play around with the propane, while the other one sat down multiple times. I kid you not, it was one of the most frustrating waits I've ever experienced.
When I finally got my chicken combo super whatever, it tasted horrible. The chicken was hard and overcooked, making it nearly inedible to chew. The fries were probably days old and had no taste whatsoever, which is likely why they filled up my platter with barely any - thank you for the favor!
To top it off, the prices were far overpriced. Charging $14 to $18 for everything is crazy, especially given the low quality of the food and service LOL.
Overall, my experience at Doctor Shawarma was terrible. The long wait, coupled with the terrible and overpriced food, left me thoroughly disappointed. I can't understand how this place gets high ratings. I definitely won't be returning and can't recommend it to anyone looking for quality shawarma, just go across the street and grab yourself a chicken over rice from...

Read moreEver find yourself craving a midnight snack that won’t make your arteries weep? Look no further than Doctor Shawarma, the food cart that’s practically a culinary emergency room for late-night hunger pangs( I wish they stay open till 2/3 am). First off, let’s talk about the menu. This isn’t your typical greasy fast food. No deep-fried nightmares here. Instead, you get shawarma so fresh and healthy, you’ll feel like you’ve been prescribed a dose of deliciousness. The service is quick too. Blink and your shawarma is ready. It’s almost suspicious how fast they serve such quality food. Are they magicians? Do they have a secret army of shawarma elves? The world may never know, but your stomach...
