I've been going to this Dunkin off and on for 4 years when I pass through that area. staff is usually decent but not all the time. Sometimes they (not all but too many times) act as if they don't know what they have. Previously I asked for a milk shake with vanilla, one of the guys says "No vanilla" so I walk over to the glass and vanilla is there. That has happened more than once.
So today I ordered a Large Iced Chai Tea with 1 Sugar, Less ice and 2 Chicken Bacon Croissant stuffers using the mobile app. I always do this as it's faster to order ahead and it's ready. It was almost 8am. I get there and they inform me there's no more Stuffers. Ok, no big deal, the lady who is making the food just says "No more" doesn't offer me anything else doesn't say talk to the cashier nothing. So I ask to substitute them and she says yes. The Cashier comes over and speaks for the one making the food and I say ok "Let me get 2 Maple bacon croissant sandwiches". The Cashier says "yeah yeah" I show her the receipt and say I have 2 make sure it's 2.
The woman preparing the food hands me my bag, and it's 2 bags of Maple Bacon Snackers. I clearly asked for the Maple bacon sandwiches, not Maple bacon snackers. Croissant stuffers are $3.99 each, why would I ask for a $2.79 each replacement? That's not equal to it. I'm running late so although being annoyed I say forget it and leave, at least I got my Chai Tea. I taste the Chai Tea when I'm 3 blocks away and it's way too sweet. I asked for 1 Sugar because last week I tried 4 and 2 and it was still made too sweet so I thought if I tried 1 sugar it would be perfect; NOPE tasted like 4 sugars.
They probably don't care, but I'm now going from a 4 year customer to never going there again. $10-$15 3 days a week or so to $0. This wasn't a hard issue to fix. All it would have took is a little extra care. I clearly asked for Maple Bacon Croissant sandwiches, the cashier repeated it to the person cooking, still wrong. Just a suggestion, the employees are young adults and they need to go to some kind of customer service class and understand the value of serving people. Dunkin can go to local churches or schools that practice these things. These days young adults need a value system so they can do well in life. Why not start...
