Very disappointed with my experience. I went to this salon recently to get traditional box braids. My hair is short and cut into a pixie, so before booking, I made sure to send a video of my hair to confirm if it could be braided. I was told yes, it wouldn’t be a problem.

The salon itself was very nice and clean, and the stylist was friendly. However, once the braiding began, it was clear that my hair was not being handled with care or expertise. I asked for small, waist-length braids with clean parts — instead, I ended up with free-formed braids that had no parts, inconsistent lengths, poor blending, and some are already starting to unravel.

When I asked why I didn’t have any parts, I was told it was because my hair was short — something I’ve never heard before. If my hair truly couldn’t be braided properly, that should’ve been communicated before I was seated, not after starting the service.

Meanwhile, everyone else in the salon seemed to be leaving with beautiful results, and I was left feeling embarrassed and disappointed. I expected professionalism and honesty, and unfortunately, I...

So I found this place through google search bc I was not going to drive to Harlem after my son basketball game to get our hair done. I called the owner she answered very friendly and was like yeah come and she texted me the address. When we arrived it was no where to park but I let my son go inside while I looked for parking. When I finally got inside after looking for parking (only bc I wanted to park in the front of the spot bc it was cold) they had already started taking my son cornrows out which was a huge plus not waiting for me. My son actually have a lot of hair and he is tender headed, he did make faces but surprisingly he didn’t cry so that was another plus.Soon as I walked in they started my hair I showed a pic and they got busy. I didn’t know my braids was that length bc I didn’t tell them a length but I love my braids it turned out really nice actually better than I expected. My son hair was taking out wash blow dried and he received box braids. I spent $300 for my hair and my sons. I did come with my the human hair for the add on pieces the other hair...

Don’t come here if you have a softer curly texture! I came here for help with a take down and it was ridiculous!!! She insisted to wash my hair and she didn’t know how to wash!!! She matted my hair with the way she was washing it! The reasoning behind why my hair was tangled the owner gave me was because she says they needed to comb out my hair dry! I stopped the lady because she was BREAKING my hair combing it out dry with a rat tail comb. I advised her to rinse my hair and comb it with conditioner. Instead she rinses the conditioner out in two seconds and proceeds to try to blow my hair out KNOTTED.

They don’t know what their doing with softer texture hair- the amount of hair I lost is RIDICULOUS- and for them to still charge me full price shows how money hungry this business is- the health of your hair doesn’t matter here- they want to get you in and out- BEWARE!!!!

I was excited at first when I first came here to do my hair and they had a loyal customer but that has now changed! DISAPPOINTED to...

DO NOT GO HERE! I got there at 5pm and left at 10pm without my hair done! This is an absolute disgrace of a salon. First off, the owner told me “she didn’t tuck hair” so the braids that she did were frizzy and looked like I had them in for a month. See the picture below. Second, I asked for fulani braids. The braids were so crooked in the front that I asked for them to redo a few. They told me no, and the girl next to me had to intervene and said “you’re playing in her hair.” Then they told me to wait in a different chair and they would get to me, which they never did. I had to get up and leave the salon because they were playing in my face. On top of that, the salon is absolutely filthy and there is so much trash on the floor that you have to step over 🤢. I hope this place shuts down soon.
