Have been hearing about this place a lot and I decided to give it a try. And I regretted it so much.

It was mother’s day, I and my two kids came all the way from New Jersey to pick up the cake since my wife liked it. My kids were very excited. Because I couldn’t find a parking spot, I called and asked them to bring the cake outside to me. The man who brought the cake to was nice and polite. I briefly checked the cake from the top, it was dark but I saw mango, so I thought it was what I ordered. I even decided to tip him. I had no problem upon this point.

UNTIL, 15 to 20 minutes later, when I was on my way home. The cake shop called me and told me that they gave me the wrong order. I ordered a mango flavored and the one they gave me had two other flavors which I didn’t like, so I thought they wanted to apologize or something but I was wrong. They wanted me to bring the cake back. I told them that I was already on a highway and couldn’t easily return. The lady rudely ordered, “no, you must bring it back.” What had I done to deserve that attitude. I didn’t just go into the store and grab the wrong order, you guys handed me an order that I didn’t like. I was shocked, but I had to hold my anger in front of my kids. They asked if I could stopped somewhere(knowing that I was on a highway) and they would come to pick up. Since I didn’t like the cake so I got off the highway and waited for them to pick up wrong order and give me mine.

To the owner, you guys handed me something that I didn’t like (I had no problem with that, I know it was a busy day and things happened. I was okay with going home with a wrong order and I didn’t mind paying for the price difference if it costed more), but I was treated like I was in the wrong.

But the lady’s attitude was ridiculously rude. She only started apologizing after knowing that I was not going back. Because of all these mess, I and my two kids were 45 minutes later than planned to the destination. 45 minutes wasted for something that I was not mainly responsible for. When they finally handed me the correct order, I thought they might give me a discount or coupon for the future orders or something, I was wrong again. Nothing! 45 minutes wasted...

I have been a repeat customer many times at E’s, with good experiences but the last two times I have been here the customer service working at the front has gone downhill. They have hired young workers who aren’t fit for customer service roles.

In one instance I went to pick up a custom cake, the skinny asian guy asked for an order number. I didn’t have it, as historically I was able to pick up a cake many times with just a name and phone number. He gave me and attitude and sucked his teeth and then went to the back to get the cake. He handed me the cake and the young girl with glasses at the register was just standing there on her phone while I was in front of her waiting to pay. After a while, I asked her if I can check out and she silently gets off her phone and takes my payment. It felt as if I was burdening her by wanting to pay for the cake.

A few weeks later, I arrived to pick up another custom cake I ordered in advance. The same pair was working at the front. The girl was on her ipad and the guy was on his phone. I asked for the cake and the guy goes to the back to get it. After a while, he comes out and just tells me in a monotone voice that they forgot to make the cake and to come back later to pick it up, as if it was my fault I came at the wrong time. I checked the message history and there was a clear pickup time. I asked why the cake isn’t ready and again he just tells me that they will start making it and just come back later in an unwelcoming way with no apology whatsoever.

Overall would not return if I am just gonna be met with workers who treat customers as if...

Terrible! I am down grading my initial 5 star rating from 3 years ago to 1 star... Since my first order, I've ordered from the store on few other occasions. We ordered cake with fresh fruits, where the fruits were not sweet, but I gave the store benefit of doubt and went back there again, asking them to select the sweet berries, mentioning my previous experience with not sweet berries. The lady at the front was VERY rude, saying that they will give me what they get, even if that means there will be sour berries, she didn't want even try, that they can't promise me anything, she also said that I can go get my own berries and I will get $10 off, ha! Or even better, they can use a canned fruits to give me very sweet berries. All she really had to say was that she'll try her best to get good berries but no guarantees. Horrible customer service! Will not step my foot in that store ever again.

The most delicious cake I had in my life! It was beyond my expectations. Cake was not too sweet, which I appreciated a lot. The cream was nice and light, fruits were fresh and sweet. Cake decoration was beyond! A bit pricey, but in my opinion it was well worth it! Can't wait to another occasion to order...

Excellent experience! I shopped around before stopping at E’s. Overall the service and quality was fantastic compared to the other nearby cake shops. The price was also less expensive than the other cake shops that I went to. I didn’t get her name, but the lady patiently walked me through the process, asking me leading questions. All I had in mind was a baby blue 2-tier cake. She asked for the number of attendees, how many children and adults, and recommended fillings based on my responses. I had a different flavor for each tier and my guests LOVED it! I received multiple compliments on the taste from fresh cream to fruits and sponginess. One guest had 3 slices because it was so good. I got an 8 and 10 inch for about 30 guests. It was gone. I had half a piece and it disappeared. I’m not sure why other reviews mentioned the staff’s rudeness. Maybe I’m just used to the older generation. She doesn’t smile but she’s definitely patient and attentive. Thanks! FYI - I asked for a plain baby blue cake because I wanted to decorate the toppings myself.

Very unpleasant older lady at the register. Heard good things about this place so I decided to order a cake for a baby shower. The ordering process was easy. My husband went to pick up the cake and the design itself was what I asked for but what I had an issue with was the writing on the cake. It was done very sloppy and off-centered. When my husband pointed it out to the lady, she had a defensive attitude. She said she should’ve confirmed the font with me when I placed the order but this is what it is. The font isn’t the issue here, it’s the sloppiness and lack of accountability. She’s like well maybe you can write better than I can. Was I supposed to laugh? Be flattered? Not once did she apologize or acknowledge the sloppy work. She did not offer any resolutions either. She could have taken it back and tried to rewrite it nicer or at least center it properly. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. I hope the cake taste better than it looks.

l ordered a custom cake from this bakery, and it arrived in completely unacceptable condition. The cake was not stable, collapsed in the front and had slid off the board before it even made it to the event -- clearly due to poor packaging and lack of support underneath. I transported it carefully, yet they refused to take any responsibility and blamed me instead. What's worse is their customer service. When I reached out, they were dismissive and unapologetic, offering no solution, refund, or even basic accountability. I spent good money on this cake for a special occasion, and they completely let me down. I would strongly caution anyone from ordering here, especially for events where presentation matters. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them is what sets them apart - and this bakery failed on both fronts.
