We came here as a party of two and both ordered the lobster and sirloin with two sides. I can't believe how many mistakes can be made in one dinner and how they tried handled in the end.
I ordered a house salad with balsamic dressing, but no dressing was served; I had to ask for it. My lobster was not served with my steak; I had to ask for it. Lobster later was served with no butter, ok I will share with my girlfriend's My girlfriend's lobster still had the "black line" in it, apparently, the lobster was not well deveined. Okay, we will do the work and not eating the lobster poop. We ordered a premium side of asparagus with an additional charge of $3. Instead, the food came with broccoli, and we were told they no longer had asparagus. Sure, we took it, but we would have preferred if they had asked us what replacement we wanted before the food was on the table. The bill was not adjusted for the additional charge for the asparagus. We ordered and received a 6 oz steak but were charged for an 8 oz steak.
The check came with the above incorrect prices. I didn't check the details and only noticed that the 6 oz steak was charged at the 8 oz price. I told the server about it, but since it was only a $3 difference and they were about to close, I said it was fine. However, after we paid the bill, my girlfriend noticed we were charged for asparagus which we didn't receive. At this point, I realized there were too many mistakes in one serving, and I wanted a refund for the extra $6 I was charged. It may not be much, but I still don't feel comfortable giving an extra $6 with so many mistakes affecting our experience.
I had to call the server TWICE and waited almost 10 minutes for someone who could handle the incorrect bill. The lady came but with a not-so-friendly attitude as if we were trying to make everything difficult. "So you guys didn't check the bill?" Yeah my bad for not "checking the bill", but it's your responsibility to make sure the bill was correct so customer don't have to check line by line and worry about it? On top of that, you guys made all these mistakes, and all I wanted was to at least get back the extra money I was charged! She wanted to offer me a $10 gift card and said they could not void the transaction and open a correct one. I insisted on getting the money back because I don't think I would ever want to come back after this terrible experience. In the end, they did refund the extra $8 including 8% tax and 18% tips that I was charged, in cash, but they were pretty reluctant to do so. :)
After all, I still gave an 18% tip despite all the mistakes because the server did try to correct them when I asked. But I don't think I would ever come back again, although this place is only a 5-minute drive for me, unfortunately.
My first time writing a one star review and it's a lengthy one :) Thanks...
Read moreTo start no water offer or brought to the table. We placed our order appetizers, and main course. They all came at the same time and to make matters worse they were all cold. Cold steak, cold Mac and cheese and wait for it cold potato soup which I believe is their signature soup (let that go because my wife asked me not to since it was her birthday and she was trying to just enjoy the day). To add salt to the wound we ask for dessert with a very excited 4 year old that was looking forward to some ice cream and brownie and we got the bill at 8:25pm and our ice cream brownie soup came to our table at 8:44pm. I think there’s a new soup on the menu cold soup Gazpacho. Let’s not forget the two unenthusiastic managers Ruth & John that instead of admitting that it was all wrong. They aggressively for lack of a better word pushed their I’m sorry cards for an appetizer and dessert. Which honestly I was not interested in at all. What clearly happened was that our server put in our dessert order and simultaneously brought the bill to us she then got a big table of about 8 along with another table and she was clearly taking care of them as she should but during that whole time our dessert was prepared and never brought out until 20 minutes later and instead of saying this can’t be served brought it out as a soup. I think we both would have appreciated more that ownership was taken and we were approached and told we are so sorry for the delay but we are remaking your dessert because the first one that was made has melted and we wanted to make sure you get a fresh one. No one thought of that which clearly indicates the lack of training and management support that should be given. I can tell you I was not the only unsatisfied customer on 9/6/25 there were several other tables getting im sorry...
Read moreMy recent visit to Outback Steakhouse left much to be desired, as the overall experience failed to live up to the restaurant's reputed standards. While the establishment is known for its hearty steaks and inviting atmosphere, my dining encounter fell short of expectations.
Opting for a seemingly decadent combination, I ordered the lobster tails and steak. Unfortunately, the steak proved to be a major disappointment, arriving at the table noticeably overcooked and dry. The lack of juiciness and tenderness that one would expect from a steakhouse of this caliber was disheartening. It appeared as though the kitchen had neglected the importance of precision in grilling, resulting in a less-than-appetizing main course.
Adding to the disappointment were the overrated blooming onions. Despite their popularity, the dish failed to impress. The flavor was average at best, and the hype surrounding this appetizer left me wondering if it had become more about tradition than true culinary excellence.
The ambiance at Outback Steakhouse is pleasant, with a cozy, rustic feel that attempts to transport diners to the Australian outback. However, the lackluster food detracted from the overall atmosphere, making it difficult to fully appreciate the intended dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Outback Steakhouse left me questioning the restaurant's reputation. While the concept and ambiance hold promise, the execution of the culinary offerings, particularly the steak, fell short. The overrated blooming onions added to the disappointment, leaving me with a less-than-favorable impression of what should have been a satisfying dining experience. Perhaps, in the future, the kitchen will pay closer attention to the details that make a meal...
