El Chalaco Peruano — Restaurant in New York

My boyfriend and I live 5 blocks from this Peruvian restaurant and we order food from here at least once a week every week for 7 months now. The food is delicious! With that said, the order today was the worst experience we’ve ever had with any kind of delivery service. My boyfriend called to place an order, was placed on hold for over eight minutes, and then finally after saying “Helloooo hellooooo” multiple times (obviously we were forgotten about) hung up. We tried to call back, but the line was busy. We called back 20 minutes later and placed the delivery. From there, the expected wait time was 25-30 minutes. An hour has gone by, and finally the woman working the counter calls and asks why we haven’t picked up the telephone, or answered the door. First of all, she wrote down the wrong address and sent the delivery man to the wrong apartment. Again, we order from here every week! Same order, same address. Second of all, no one including the delivery driver called us up to this point! We told her that no one has called us and there was complete silence on the other end. The driver went back to the restaurant, and now it’s longer than an hour and we still DON’T have our meal. Great food, horrible horrible service!!!!!!!!!...

This is one of my top resturants that I order from. The food had flavor!! Unlike the Peruvian resturant across the street on the corner. I loveeeeee Thier spice green sauce, it's not so spicyou but the flavor is on point!!!. There jalea of mixed seafood is delicious!!! And also the seafood soup!!!! The only thing I'm not too happy about is the place itself. It's not very pretty. I wish they can open a nicer place or remodel it. I'm sure the place would be packed every night if they did some remodeling. Either then that I love this place and the owners are hard working and it shows in...

The food is very delicious the only problem is that since is too small you can actually see and smell the kitchen which is not bad unless you are not into smelling other different kinds of food. The Causal used to be a big dish now they reduced in size :( their Chicken is the best. Beats Armando's chicken and Anzuelo Fino anytime!! Secret formula for auntentic Peruvian Roasted Chicken!!!! Overall great place with awesome people. One suggestion not everybody is a Jehovah witness so if you could refrain from playing the Christian ballads and rock would be a better experience...
