My family and I recently dined at Pollo Inka- Peruvian cuisine, and I have nothing but praise for the experience. The service from our waiter, Sofia, was exceptional—both friendly and genuine. She offered thoughtful suggestions tailored to our tastes, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. At first, the waiter greets your table with canchita also known as peruvian popcorn and if you like spicy sauce dip some canchiita in the ají- it's so good. We started with the Chorros a la Chalaca, which is a must-order for us every time. The flavors were spot on, as always. We also tried the Lomo Saltado, which was incredibly tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. The Sustancia de Carne was another delightful dish, with rich, comforting flavors perfect for a late-night meal. The portions were generous and satisfying, ensuring we left fully content. The only slight disappointment was that they had sold out of their house-made Chicha Morada, which is my personal favorite. However, the overall experience more than made up for it. Pollo Inka continues to impress with its delicious food and excellent service, making it a go-to spot for my family and me. Highly recommended!

I haven't been to a Peruvian restaurant other than Pio Pio. So I tried El Pollo Inka Peru located a few blocks away on Northern Blvd. I liked it so much that I went again a few weeks later. I had the chicken combo 1, fried seafood combination large (jalea de mariscos) and rice with mixed seafood (arroz con mariscos). It all came out to a bit under $100. For a family of 5 it was a good size and decent price. It lasted for two days. The chicken wasn't as salty as at Pio Pio and still tasty. The green sauce has a good spice that compliments the chicken. The fried seafood had a nice mix of seafood although it was heavy with calamari rings. Again not overly salty. The rice and seafood was a good blend of rice and seafood. I loved the salsa criolla that came with it that I ordered extra on my next order. Both orders were takeout orders so I can't grade service but the place looked nice and patrons seemed happy. Staff was friendly at ordering and pickup. This location is on Northern Blvd and three is a bus stop in front. Streek parking is available around and on side streets. Some are metered. I highly recommend this place

I have been visiting el Pollo Inka for a few years now as I consider it a reliable option when I am craving Peruvian cuisine in Queens, this restaurant it’s usually busy and sometimes you might have to wait a little for a table. Now when it comes to the waitresses they all provide good customer service, they are welcoming, attentive and kind, as for the food always tasteful & fresh although portions have been reduced in the last months, El pollo inka feels like a family owned restaurant and their dishes never loose interest. Some of my favorites from here are the Lomo saltado, Tallarines verdes con Pechuga de pollo, Ceviche Mixto, Caldo de Gallina, Jalea de Mariscos, Rotisserie Chicken-chicken is tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection(chicken combos) and Parihuela, the Chaufa rice is good but in my opinion is not my favorite. They also offer beers, Sangria and old school Spanish music playing in the back.

Customer is always right.

Today I give it 1 star.. About a year ago I gave this place restaurant 5 stars. What has changed?

The food quality, flavor, presentation, and management.

Arrived with family and ordered Caldo de Gallina, which tasted very acidy (only happens when food is expired or ingredient are not washed properly). The Papa La Huancaina was served with hot boiled potatoes which hardens dries the sauce. The Sopa a la Minuta had a little meat and no potato. The Corvina Frita was also bitter taste.. Picarone's chancaca sauce had a chemical taste to it, and to makes matter worse, the management argued over a claim.

Management must've changed or they placed an unintelligent manager in that location. I asked to not charge the Caldo de Gallina cause it was not eaten cause of the acidy taste. His argument was that it was tasted. I mentioned that it was tasted in order to know the food was acidy. Instead of looking into the matter with the kitchen he continue to pursue the fact that because no one complaint. I mentioned I am one that at least had the courtesy to tell him that his food is bad. after going back and forth, he finally discounted $15 on a $155 bill.

Manager (Nicolas) failed to understand, that Customer is always right, especially when you provide a public service and reputation is always important in the restaurant business.

Its your choice, you can Save your money and dine elsewhere or experience what we experienced, especially with Nicolas as a restaurant manager who fails to understand that someone complains about the food, look into it and not argue with a paying customer. Customer pays your rent, bills, electricity, water, etc to bite the hand that feed you and your staff.. Take a course in business 101 and it will make you understand the impact on a decision/arguement you have with Customer impacts your business especially when your food is not...
