Typical neighborhood Chinese food as distinguished from the sort of food they normally have at home. This is the stuff you know and love - not the stuff you find in Chinatown. In fact most of what appears in their menu is difficult to find in Chinatown and if it is available it's quite different. Even the basics are different. The egg rolls, the fried rice, chop suey.
