We have visited them a couple of times already and placed a couple of orders to take to friends and family gatherings.
Out of all the dishes we have tried with them:
BEST CROQUETAS and bollitos de yuca con queso IN THE BRONX, main reason why we keep going back 🤣 11/10
we also tried some small corn balls we had never eaten before, and Im a fan already! Delicious! 10/10
the first time we tried their chicken and beef quipes and bollitos we didnt really love them because the seasoning did not taste as if they were using natural season... tried them again today and it felt like they must have changed the recipe because they were 🔥🔥🔥 super crispy on the outside and perfect softness on the inside 👌🏻
we have tried their chicken club sandwich and it was PRETTY GOOD! 🔥 the bread they use seems to be different than regular bread and doesnt get soggy - will definitely order again soon! 9/10
we have tried their club sandwich de pernil and it was as good as the chicken one; delicious! and again, not soggy at all 9/10
we have tried their carnita de cerdo frita with tostones; it was delicious and the portion was huge, perfect for sharing and to have with some refreshing beer 😃
tried the picadera mixta for 2 (chicken tenders and carnitas + tostones) and we loved it... my husband wasnt happy with the amount of food served, being this plate supposedly for two and comparing it to the Carnita with Tostones plate BUT other than that, it tasted very good (I wouldnt mind ordering it again 😃)
Regarding the empanadas, I have not really enjoyed them that much, maybe because Im not a fan of the filling which is sort of a cream or paste instead of shredded chicken or shredded meat...
Tried the corn, ham and cheese pizza and even if it really did taste like the domican style pizza the dough was not nice at all... it tasted like the dough to make the domican style cookies you have with queso de hoja... :')
Tried the mixed yaroa with fries as well and the fries were soaking in oil... extremely soggy.. I feel like there was an excess of cheese compared to the other ingredients and almost no fries :')
Other than that..
The place is super neat and looks very nice and clean... usually dominican products / places dont look the best here but this one looks pretty modern compared to the typical chiringuito style dominican eateries and is very well kept
You can find pretty much all of the most typical fast food dominican dishes in there, which is lovely
We will definitely continue going back because many of the dishes we originally did not enjoy seem to have been improved and we...
Read moreJust moved to the neighborhood the store further down referred me there I was ignored and stood there for a good 5 minutes looking at the menu while the lady at the front was indulged in her conversation with a male customer they spoke Spanish so I just walked out she never even noticed me 👀because it's nothing new to me as a black person plus my hard earned money will be spent where I'm respected. Walk by there to the grocery shop next door but will never...
Read moreI came here with my son recently and when I first walk through the doors I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of attention to detail to service and warm/welcoming vibes throughout the entire interaction.
