Horrible customer service.
They have breakfast specials that come with juice and or coffee. I ordered one of the specials because that would save me some money DUH!
Anyway, more often than not, the first thing you usually ask someone when they sit down in your restaurant is: is this your first time here? Did not get asked that. The man came off very angry and not at all suited for a job that is customer facing.
The first thing he did ask was: “something to drink?” And in my mind I’m like maybe he should ask if this is my first time? See if I know how the menu works? But I digress. This is how they get you though. They ask what you want to drink. So that it’s not included in your breakfast special. Because if you ask that first, than when the customer ask for a special. they just ignore it and won’t even tell you “the special comes with a drink”
So I go ahead and then ask for a breakfast special. To which in any other establishment, they would mention “the special comes with drink” But not here.
Once I get the bill it’s $20! For some Breakfast at a diner? The special was $13! So me confused looking at the bill. I ask the host. When he calls over in the waiter, the waiter was immediately defensive. (WTHECK?) saying “this is what I asked you”
First off: if a customer has a problem, you don’t try and negate and say “I asked you what size drink” that should NEVER be a standard when a customer is confused about a bill. And then explain “the drink for the special is this small” He and the host mimic a shot glass worth. While on that note: Why the heck are y’all given a shot glass worth of juice with a special? Just cheap.
The host tries to deflect and go “it’s good for the baby” (I am 9 months pregnant) Again, speaking of the sizes should NEVER be standard when trying to explain something to a customer.
Why not just explain that from the beginning? Like when I was ordering? “Hey, the special comes with this size” But again, not here! You guys should never try to deflect away from poor customer service and being greedy. By ignoring the customer and their...
Read moreThey need to really re-consider the woman that work there. Miserable, rude woman that take the calls. If your so miserable in your work place find another job! We call to place an order and this woman is yelling and being rude with taking our order. Tells us to hold on. And then yells at us as if we were the ones holding her up. So incompetent. I’m not sure how they keep customers with that attitude! Find people that would be grateful to work for you and take pride into doing something as simple as taking an order, offering your options instead of saying “Well what kind of ham do you want? What kind of cheese do you want?” And rushing me off the phone instead of processing my payment. Then screams to me “run it!! Run it!!” I’m sorry what? Are you asking for my card information? Great diner but horrible people showing face for it. Makes me not want to ever order again with that nasty attitude. (Mind you she’s in the background yelling at the top of her lungs to the other employees) We know the owner also, so he’ll be hearing...
Read moreIt’s Christmas and my family all wanted to eat at Emphasis. 6 adults and 2 toddlers, a women with highlights beach waves and glasses saw us, didn’t tell us to follow her and walked away. We just followed to just go and she gave us two round tables. We asked if we can sit at a booth and have a small table moved to it so we can sit more better. She said no to my mother because she can’t block the hall. It was not going to block anything cause we did that before. Like Who is she fooling?? And right then she said You can WAIT and ( pointing at a table filled with family enjoying their meal) and you can sit there but nope. I won’t do that. She just had a nasty vibe from the beginning and when we walked out, gave us a nasty face. First impression matters. I’ve always gone there and this was my first time entering and leaving. I’ve never seen her before. It’s Christmas we understand if you don’t wanna work, but do...
