Fisher Pool — Restaurant in New York

This is the most disturbing pool I have ever been to. I went to this pool with my family. My 4 year old and my 16 month old. My husband has an ostomy bag because he has Crohn’s disease. When we got into the pool, my husband was asked to take off his shirt. When my husband showed the staff that he had an ostomy bag he said oh okay no problem and allowed him to get into the pool. Just as he was about to get in ANOTHER staff came by and told him he could not wear his shirt. Finally, my husband decided to just obliged due to wanting his children to swim. Once we were swimming about 5 minutes into it 4 staff members came and pointed at us in front of everyone and told us to get out. Once we got out they questioned us about his ostomy bag, accused us of cursing at people and making a scene and told us we could not swim in the pool. They then further caused a scene by asking about the ostomy bag and not wanting him to swim in the pool. At that point we had enough and decided to leave. This was blatant discrimination. I went into the change room with one of my children and I was followed by two staff and so was my husband. They attempted to address my 4 year old on the way out and I asked them to not address him. They treated us like animals just for wanting to swim....

Went to this pool today June 29, 2023. With my 3 kids (8,6,1y) they all had fun. As soon as we arrived we noticed a line but it moved very quick. I took my 1y old in the stroller and was told that strollers weren’t allowed inside.I left the stroller outside and they did let me know that they won’t be responsible if it was stolen. Before entering the pool they do check for bathing suits and make sure the babies have the diaper for swimming. Since it was our first time here we didn’t know we needed a lock, so we had to buy one because they do provide lockers for us to store all our belonging. The ladies there were very nice and helpful, all the workers here are extremely strict, which is understandable because they want to keep a safe and easy going environment since there are adults and children of all ages. No toys are allowed and you can’t wear shorts it’s has to be a bathing suit or else they won’t let you in even if you are just going to watch over your kids. The life guard on the baby pool was good he would tell children to not run or jump because they can get hurt. Overall I think it’s great ! Thanks...

The staff are rude. They expect you to know all the rules ahead of time but nowhere are they posted. They tell you all the rules are there posted INSIDE the pool entrance through the main doors but how can we see them if we need to physically be inside the doors to see them. You make us wait for you to tell us these are rules that need to be followed and if they are not you are not allowed to come in. I just went through that because he said I could not bring in my non swim wear shorts so they had to be left behind in a locker but I said everyone else brings towels and clothes inside the pool area and they are not told anything about it so why do I need a lock to lock away shorts that I can easily bring inside with my towel. So I was denied entrance because I had no lock for my shorts. Made me wait the line to tell me I couldn’t go in for that reason. Worst place to go because the staff are rude and don’t care about...
