Don't buy rice, flour, etc there. Good place mainly for cleaning supplies, cooking pans, pots, etc. Food quality usually inferior.
The positives: The workers are mostly very cordial, polite, and I met one of the owners in the store and he was very polite. The place is huge, as indicated by some other responders (but not as big as Jetro).
The negatives: Hours have been cut, making it less convenient for certain shoppers. No African music and no authentic African-American, nor Latino music even though 99.9% of the customers are Africans, Blacks, Latinos. Some of the food is old, but this issue has improved over the past year, so respect to the owners (and government health regulators) for listening to the health concerns.
In conclusion, this facility could be a 5 star if more focus were on quality of goods, foods, and customer hours, and less focus on profits. But since capitalism is about profits, it goes without saying that that customers (especially marginalized ones with no real political representation, etc) will typically not get the type of quality and service of their Greek, anglo, white Jewish, Nordic, anglo Italian, anglo British, counterparts.
Update: Soon will not be going to this location, found another place (brand) with better prices, and fresher foods. I may only seem like one person, but I am boss of over 100 people and they all have families. Food Fest, treat everyone with respect, and show some appreciation to the Africans, Blacks, etc that are your #1 customers, but not represented in ownership nor in the music you play. And definitely you have improved in the food area (You used to sell lots of expired foods) but you still have room for improvement in this area. Good luck and, soon, goodbye.
Some of the reviews for this FoodFest company seem fake, never saw any of those folks at the store before, and the reviews are perfect even though the facility has room...
Read moreThis food depot is massive! You can buy all your groceries and even cooking utensils at wholesale price. This place is huge with myriad of options. I’ve actually been to the store before just for window shopping but yesterday was my first day to make a purchase. Consequently, I was issued a card and was told it’s mandatory to always bring it along whenever I’m coming to the store so I can benefit from the discounts.
The staffers were really polite and all smiles. It’s definitely a return visit for me. The sign is so huge and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible ♿️ entrance for the differently able.
