Foo Hing — Restaurant in New York

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 – Decent Taste, But Some Concerns

I ordered the lunch special from Foo Hing on June 10, which included chicken with broccoli, vegetable fried rice, and a drink for $13.74. I called in my order and provided my card info over the phone. After placing the order, I realized I hadn’t specified my drink, so I called back to request a ginger ale. Unfortunately, they charged me an extra $1.25 for that, but when I called again, they said they would issue a refund — I’ll be waiting to see if that actually goes through.

The food arrived in about an hour. It was hot and fresh, which I appreciated. However, when I was unpacking it, I noticed a piece of hair outside the packaging, which was concerning. Thankfully, there was no hair in the food itself.

The flavor was good and the portion of rice and broccoli was generous, but there was barely any chicken — definitely not enough for a “chicken and broccoli” dish.

Overall, the food was okay but not great. Customer service was responsive, but I hope they actually follow through with the refund. I’d consider ordering again, but only if they improve the portion of meat and overall...

On a random night on vacation in the bronx we googled a Chinese restaurant and this came up with a good mix of reviews, we decided to try it and we were not disappointed at all. The food was the classic NY Chinese Food you always hear about, we got the half fry chicken with pork fry rice, bbq wings with fries and sesame chicken and plain fry rice and house special lo mein. The place was clean and the food was prepared rather quickly. I will go back to Florida definitely...

Their hours can be odd - despite this entry saying they're open from 11 AM on, there's definitely been days where I'll walk here at half-past one on my lunch break and find the gate down. That said, the food's great - lunch special is a good price and comes with a soup. Big fan of their Hot and Spicy...
