My family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults)have been going to this place for years. The foods are okay but the highlight of this restaurant is the generous ban chai (side dishes). Today we went to this place again, as usual , we ordered spicy rice cake and squids, hot pot stone rice with beef, and spicy beef soup. We rarely finished our order because we all only interested in the side dishes. Of course, we have left over the entire spicy rice cake squid and half of hot stone pot rice with beef. So I flagged the waitress to get two empty boxes to take home but the owner (lady) came by and asked why we were not eating the dishes. I told her that we were full and wanted the boxes to take home and I wanted to pack it myself and the owner ignored my request and took the dishes away and later came back with two small boxes of my foods. I know she threw half of my foods away. This is so awful. I paid for the meal and I entitled to take my foods home. Never again that my family will come to this restaurant. This owner needs to take common sense courses in order to...

The foods are in good quality but not in good quantity according to the price. Staff seems to rushing us out. No refill for our side dishes although we are a party of 7 people and already ordered 3 orders of Galbi, seafood pancake, bimbiba, pork belly, 2 tofu bowls. Serving staff seems lack of experience;dishes supposed to serve with sauce and mix on the table always come with dish only but no sauce. Waitress asked if we'd like to have the sauce to mix, of course we need the sauce, the mix dish without sauce would not be the same dish. Tofu bowl supposed to come with rice but they didn't bring them until we asked. This is a birthday dinner for my friend, however, the waitress comes out with the cake but forget to get us plates. Finally we got the plates but she didn't bring the forks........ So inexperienced! I wonder if the restaurant is penny saving on all the subsidiaries or what. So sorry that I cannot accept this...

Bang for buck, fantastic. In just side dish alone you could get full (but obviously order per-person). But the seafood stew is amazing, and the BBQ is done with Charcoal, getting a nice smokey flavor. The quality of the meat is amazing, and I usually don't like marinaded kbbq bc the flavors can be over-powering, but no it was perfectly marinated and not too sweet. Service was amazing and okay at the same time, if you don't speak Korean might be a little difficult communicating, but the owner came around and greeted everyone and brought more side dish for us. But super authentic and I wouldn't say hole in the wall bc it's pretty well known in the Korean Community, but is somewhere you should go if you want great Korean food that Koreans like. But warning it will def be PACKED, and you will leave...

The lunch specials here are great. I had the Galbi on the hot plate with rice and vegetables and hot sauce and it was super delicious and affordable ($19). I also had the seafood tofu soup ($10), which was very good compared to other Korean restaurants where I’ve had it. The little dishes they give at the start of the meal are good and there is a great variety. Overall, when comparing value and quality I think this restaurant ranks very high for Korean restaurants in the flushing and bayside area. The staff was also friendly and nice. Note: they do not have wine 😟 just soju!

I was looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. We were seated very quickly and there menu’s variety had me in shock. After we ordered, a medley of side dishes flew onto the table and before we knew it, the food arrived. I ordered a lunch special of mackerel and soup, and my friend ordered a hot stone plate. Fish was perfectly cooked, and the soup paired amazingly. The food was very delicious and filling, but I walked out feeling light. Eating in the restaurant was key, and I really enjoyed my experience!!
