I been meaning to write a review for this place after going last week because honestly, it was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try the desserts here for a long time and we finally got the chance to go one day after work, but we were going to arrive just 15 minutes before closing. When we got there, they said that they were making a fresh batch that was gonna be done in 20 minutes (so a few minutes after they close) which I already thought was super generous. When the desserts were done, they brought it out to our car in the front without us even having to ask. On top of that there was this man in front of the store (I believe he was the owner) and he offered us free cake slices since they were just cutting a cake as we were about to leave, and brought it out for us with napkins. My boyfriend and I were shocked at how nice everyone was and I don’t usually write reviews but this was honestly 10/10. Not to mention the dessert was even better than I thought it was...
Read moreVery Disgusting, last Saturday I went and asked for some donuts, while I was waiting I saw that the employee constantly scratched her nose, before starting to place the order, I saw that the donuts that they were going to give me were one that looked overcooked and the employee tried to choose the best.
Followed by This she had to fill the donuts so she waited for another employee who had left the store when he arrived, they exchanged gloves, since she did not have one and with that glove that was already dirty since the employee had been outside the store, not seem hygienic at all and even more now that we are in a pandemic nothing justifies that they use a glove to handle your food already used by another person, given this I wanted my money I called them several times to tell them and they ignored me they continued talking to each other until I opted for leave the place.
It was my favorite place, I recommended it to my friends but after this I will not return and I will not...
Read moreOnly two places in NYC make credible loukoumades. Cafe Boulis and now Gold’N Honey. This is the newer one and they don’t miss! They are golden fried, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. A true delight and great dessert.
I opted for the traditional - honey walnuts and cinnamon. Really tasty. Good quality honey - not too sweet. They have more modern twists and offer a full line of coffee drinks. My wife enjoyed her iced coffee.
The desserts are made to order so expect them to take around 10 minutes. Well worth it. After all, you don’t want to eat these after they have been sitting around. Piping hot and crunchy is ideal, just be careful when you bite in.
Staff is very pleasant. The owner also gave us a try of a Nutella stuffed loukoumades, which was delicious, thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Looking forward to coming back and trying...
