Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

Terrible terrible service. I will pay for overpriced food as long as it’s good. The soup and food that I have had so far have been good. The beef patties are hit or miss. Sometimes they are stale... yuck! But those women behind the counter are awful. I was even a witness to one of them being mean to an elderly lady coming from church! I go every once in a while cause I like their soup. It’s all I can afford from them now honestly. But those workers need manners! Shame on Golden Krust. The type of behavior that I have seen them display should not be tolerated!

3/13/2019 update So I went to another Golden Crust further up on Jamaica ave and was in awe as to how the staff was even more rude than the staff at the Parsons and Archer location. I know what you’re thinking... it has to be ME right? I must be some super witchy customer right? Except I am not! I’m actually super sweet to anyone handling my food. As a matter of fact by the time I finished putting my kindness on them the cashier called me that sweet liccle gal. Decided to buy food at this Golden Krust given that it has more variety than the one one on 165, while sranding there one of the servers who was in the bathroom came out, he apparently was using the toilet as you could hear it flush. He came out handed another employee the key then put on a gloves and started serving, even if he washed his hand in the bathroom he could have washed it again before serving doesn't matter if he put a glove on or not. when it was my time to order the manage decided to serve me, when I step to the glass to speak he yeld at me "order in deh suh thru the mic.!" Everyone standing behind me was astonished. I proceeded to order when the phone ran he just put the plate down didn't even say excuse me and went to talk on the phone, when he came back, without washing his hands and with no gloves on began to serve me again, the people standing behind me "said you disrespect the lady just now and now you going to seve her without washing your hands or even putting on a gloves" I told him I change my mind and his response to me was " a long time yuh fi left" I am spending my $ certainly didn't go there to beg food. I am referring to the morning crew because I use to go there for breakfast. The young workers are very pleasant when they take your orders. There’s one woman with glasses that does both serve food the register, she is pleasant as well. The one who normally does the register (she’s short and she doesn’t serve) isn’t that nice either. But there’s a dark skinned and short one with glasses got a face like a bull and there’s a taller no glasses with thick eyeliner eyebrows dark skinned looks like a man. There maybe another one but these two I can describe and if you went there you would know who I’m talking about. They are just so nasty and disrespectful when they speak to you. They have the nerve to roll their eyes when they can’t get your order right. Clean your ears out and listen instead of trying to over talk people when they tell you their order. It’s disgusting.
