I had a wonderful dining experience at Grand Sichuan. One of the main reasons I went was because they serve Sautéed Loofah (sponge gourd) — a rare dish that I’ve never seen offered at even the most authentic Chinese restaurants in the U.S. Before placing my order, I asked the waitress whether the loofah would be bitter — since sometimes it can be, depending on the season. She kindly explained that, according to other customers’ feedback, the loofah at this time of year is not bitter. Her explanation reassured me, so I decided to go ahead and order it. And she was absolutely right — the sautéed loofah turned out fresh, tender, and not bitter at all. I ended up ordering two dishes: • Sautéed Loofah (sponge gourd) • Chinese Vegetables with Black Mushroom Both dishes were absolutely delicious, with flavors that reminded me of authentic Chinese cooking. On top of the great food, the service was outstanding. In addition to the waitress, another waiter was patient and attentive, carefully explaining the menu to me and even showing me pictures on his phone since the menu itself didn’t have photos. That extra effort helped me feel comfortable choosing the right dishes and made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I give Grand Sichuan five stars not only for the food but also for the wonderful service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Everything here is so delicious and priced so well! Nice big portions to share or to have some left overs for the next day. The staff was so sweet and attentive the whole time. Definitely recommend coming here with a group of people, a date or even by yourself! It’s not a big place but the way they have the seating arranged, it fits a good amount of people. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and I’m so happy I did! Can’t recommend it enough as the food is so delicious.

Vastly under rated. Great Chinese food whether you like comfort food or trying something a bit more authentic to the culture; you can't go wrong with trying Grand Sichuan. You won't be disappointed if you're an Asian food enthusiast. Prices are generous as is with the portions, presumably to share dishes with a companion or two as with Chinese culture. Last night ordered food for my family. Once the food arrived and we proceeded to remove the contents from the bag, we found that almost everything we ordered was incorrect. Asked for white sauce, got brown sauce instead...not a big deal but I would prefer what was requested. But our order of beef and broccoli was completely wrong, they gave us tofu and broccoli. What!!! So we call up the restaurant to explain they gave us the wrong order and if they would come back with the correct order. The woman on the end started to argue with us saying this is what we ordered and she repeated it several times to be clear on the order. NO SHE DID NOT! My advise to them get someone competent that comprehends and is not argumentative. Teach proper customer service!!! We will never order from them again!!! They would get 1/2 star...

I really miss Grand Sichuan. We ordered take-out foods frequently when we lived in Rego Park. I have nothing to say after reading some reviews below....I don't understand why there are some people ordering General Tao Chicken from Grand Sichuan. Come on! It's a Sichuan restaurant, OK? What is General Tao Chicken? I've never heard about it when I was in China. It's not authentic at all! I really miss the fish fillet( shui zhu yu) and hot spicy beef with peppers. They are really tasty, and the price is reasonable. W never got disappointed in Grand Sichuan. If you live in Rego Park or Forest Hills and love spicy Chinese food, Grand Sichuan is one of the best choices based on my experience. Actually, you don't have many choices of spicy food...
