I can totally understand all who ever gave them4 or 5 stars…they can be deserve it. In our case, Service was horrible, the food was OK, no more…& we eat a lot Uzbek food in the area. We got there on Sun. For lunch around 2pm, 4 diners. The ambiance / Design was beautiful & restaurant looks clean. They had ONLY 4 table occupied, and 3 server on the floor, + we saw 5 people behind the counter…so total 8 employees ..serving. We made our order immediately, we know the food. We got the 2 different salads…both tasted the same, actually no flavor at all & they looked sitting there for a week. Bread & Drink came quickly…not as we ordered & missing the ice we requested 3 times - never got it. After the salads arrived, we waited 25 min. Then the 1st Fish Skewer came COLD with no flavor at all, 10 min. Passed, 2nd Fish Skewer came (both Fish for ONE person). 10 min. More, 2 more skewer came for the 2nd Guest….we asked where is the rest (for other 2 diners) the server had no answer or idea. After 10 min. Another 2 skewer came, 4th Diner still waiting…5 min. After we got the Plate for him. ALL THE Skewers were. COLD, almost unbeatable …we ate half , asked for the bill that came in SECONDS, we paid, left & never will be back. Big...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars for Stix in Queens, NY Oh, Stix, you beautiful culinary temptress! My friends and I stumbled into this gem last weekend, and let me tell you, our taste buds are still sending thank-you notes. The food was so ridiculously delicious that we turned into those cartoon characters who keep ordering more plates while their pants creak at the seams. We started with the dumplings—plump little pillows of joy that melted in our mouths. Then came the skewers, each one a flavor bomb that had us giggling like kids in a candy store. By the time the samsa hit the table, we were in love and out of control, waving down the server like, “MORE, PLEASE, WE BEG YOU!”

The food was so good, we forgot how buttons work. Halfway through, I had to unbutton my jeans to make room for more of that crispy, savory, oh-so-perfect chebureki. My friend Dave tried to “pace himself” but ended up with sauce on his forehead and a dreamy look in his eyes. The staff? Absolute saints for not judging us as we waddled out, belts undone, grinning like we’d just won the food lottery. Stix, you’ve ruined us for all other restaurants. We’ll be back—probably with stretchy pants next time. 10/10, my waistline hates you, but my heart’s writing...

Never again. We are here for 6 years or so but when they changed owners they also changed waitstaff and the current waiters and manager frequently mess up are orders or bring the food out in parts. Today they forgot a big part of our order and we decided to skip it, say nothing but when the check came they charged us. We politely requested they remove the charge and they refused claiming they would have to pay for it. And then suddenly all this meat that they had forgotten to bring out was magically ready as we were completely done with our meal. We again explained we didn’t want it, we were done, they had clearly forgotten about please remove the charge. They aggressively argued again they would have to pay for the meat they forgot to give us during our meal like it was my problem. Such a shame because I had enjoyed my meal despite them forgetting the beef and prior to this interaction. And then I came here and read the other horrible reviews and was grossed out so we will...

Wow was I surprised by this place. Went with a girlfriend for lunch and had a great time. We got the Shurpa soup, it only had one piece of meat in it so even though it's cooked with beef & lamb, you don't get both. The fresh herbs in it were delicious! We also got the fresh homemade salad and Korean carrot salads which were both good and grew on you as you eat them, so they just get better during the meal. The steamed dumplings were good and the kabobs were so good! We eat got 3! We stayed for probably close to 2.5 hours and the restaurant didn't mind. It's a great place to meet up with an old friend and catch up on life!

The kebabs were good especially the lula ones (very flavorful). The lamb kebab not so much, it was too chewy and not enough seasoning. The breads were not what was expected. Didn’t like breads at all, the one that looks like a pan was crunchy which was not mentioned in the menu. 3 start for the experience. The service was nothing good nor bad but when we ordered 2 breads the server could’ve mentioned some details about the them since we are obviously not Uzbek. This restaurant is more suitable for the Uzbek’s than someone like me that went to to experience Uzbeki dishes.

Our first time experience at this Uzbek restaurant was amazing. We ordered everything based on the photos from Google reviews. Every dish was so good and the price was from $8 (soup) -$28(entree) not too expensive. We love the smoky eggplant appetizer, the smoky flavor is impressive and perfect with bread. We also ordered a lamb rib and a liver kebab those are so good too! They know how to make meat! The liver kebab is actually very tasty, tender and moisturize your month with some fat. Stop by next time for local business and Uzbek food.
