POLICE MATTER I agree with other reviewers that the man here makes up his own pricing at the register. Gives no receipt!! Read on please! The owner, or co-owner , if that is who he is, is an older man, who started being “playful” I guess you can call it that… On a few occasions, when I went to the counter to pay, he grabbed my wallet, took out money and started counting it! Yes actually stuck his hand in my personal belongings and took out my money, looked at my drivers license! I guess it’s my bad for not slugging him. I believe what he did is called theft? I He returned everything and we both laughed it off. Aren’t you funny? last week I went in again and forgetting his little routine for the moment didnt guard my bag at the register and he reached in and pulled out all my change. I said “NO” and went to grab it back and he blocked my hand from my OWN money! He then tried to drink my coffee that I came in with which I had to stop him from doing! . He counted the change. Took what he said I owed with no receipt and said “That’s it! Finished” As I mentioned, at first this was “cute” but actually it’s called stealing and is no longer at all funny. If I was a large male I am sure he wouldn’t pull any of this. Again this is weird behavior, not sure what to call it. I will not be going back and will inform the...
Read moreI stood at the Deli quietly, not knowing there was an employee sitting behind the counter because I could not see over it. There was a woman behind the register who noticed me waiting quietly and let me stand there for 10 minutes before calling me over to roll her eyes and yell at me that there was an employee behind the counter and that I had to get his attention. Absolutely unacceptable way to speak to a customer. I couldn’t see behind the Deli so I had no clue and was just going to wait patiently for someone to come to the Deli. Why would you let a customer stand there for so long before saying something? And why do you decide to yell at them/ speak to them unkindly when you do finally say something? I was standing there quietly on my phone. Terrible customer service- zero people skills. I’m disappointed because I really love the...
Read moreIt could have been five but the fruit salad I got was hard to eat. It wasn't as fresh as I thought. Anyways this week was my fiancé and I's first time in here. I wanted a snack and I figured we walk around and check it out. We were pleasantly surprised! Several vegan items! Multiple vegan cheeses-vegan feta, provolone, cheddar, mozzarella and so on! Slices and shreds too. There was tofu, Back to Nature products, vegan frozen pizzas and even vegan chocolate from Hu. Moderate selection of produce for a small market. Good backup for a supermarket run if we aren't able to go to our go to supermarket. Prices were comparable to other markets for vegan items, don't know about the non vegan items. Oh! And there are so many vegan frozen desserts from VanLeuwen and Good For You...
