The staff uses their outside voice instead of realizing that this is a library where people come for a quiet space, but they do not care. They talk so loudly without any consideration of others trying so study and read. Plus there are no quiet area. This library is a waste. You’re better off staying home

Most of the staff at the front desk here don’t really care and are a bit rude, that’s why I don’t like to plan a day to go out and return my books. I had an experience here when I was trying to scan my books and go home, but my library card somehow didn’t work and I kept trying to put in my password, and I knew it was the correct one. The black lady with glasses at the front desk said “do you know your password?” And I said yes I know for a fact that this is my password I did not change it, and she said that then it isn’t correct because it’s not going through and just kept repeating the question. This lady didn’t even try to help me, she just said that I should know my password already and she also asked for my “ID” and I responded with “I don’t have an ID my parent signed me up” and she was like what? And acted so shocked. I was calling my mom worried that she changed the password but she didn’t. I went up the center where there’s clear walls on the desks with plants, and there was a guy there working on the computer, I asked him what was wrong with my card number and that it wasn’t working and he took my card and asked for the password and fixed it, after that I took my books and left. Due to this guy, I got my books and I’m really grateful that he was there. Some people in their work shift are only there for the money and aren’t mindful of others...

normally whenever i go to this library, i have no problems. but one day, i came to the library around 9:45. the library didnt open until 12 but i didn't know that yet. i saw a lady outside the library, ringing a doorbell. i assumed that she wanted to go to the library to read as well. a lady from the inside finally answered and opened the door to let the other lady in. i started to follow, thinking it was opened. but then the lady opening the door was very rude, yelling at me, saying,"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? LOOK! and then she pounded very rudely and loudly on the glass door that had the sign that said the library hours. i didn't notice that, and if i did i wouldnt have gone in. then she screamed "GET OUT!" as i was trash. i understood my mistake, but everyone makes mistakes, even her. she could have told me nicely that the library wasn't open yet. why did she have to yell? it hurt me deeply and i think she needs to change her attitude and be spoken to....
