Truly sad that this place has been going downhill over the years. Halal Boyz has been my go to spot up until now. The food quality is bad and the chicken tenders I received were not even edible and undercooked. Stringy meat that felt like I was chewing rubber. They charged me $17 for these tenders plus a small sum of fries that were soggy. If you’re craving good affordable chicken tenders, make your way towards a halal munchies instead. The cooks here are always in a rush and yelling at each other. Almost everything they sell is made of frozen food and the “lamb” meat they use is not even real lamb. It’s just soft cubes of meat, that only have a “lamb” flavor. I’m not even sure if the meat they use are 100% halal, because they get their meat from places like jetro/restaurant depot that normally just put the sticker “halal” on the box. Not planning on returning again, waste of money and food ended up in trash. EDIT- To reply to the owner, do the pictures of the tenders look like “high quality” chicken to you? Would you even consume that? And for $17?? Maybe I should record your “professional team” the next time I pass by to show how they really are. Yelling and alerting each other in a non-discreet manner, in front of customers. You should definitely focus on training your team instead of claiming that your top priority is serving fresh “high quality” food

After reading the positive reviews, I decided to drop by. However, I wasn't aware of the hike in the prices for some items. I got the Chicken over Rice Platter and was expecting it to be $8 with taxes but the changed price was around $11 with taxes and service charge. The service charge is only applicable if you pay using a card. The table where I sat seemed somewhat greasy and I'd have preferred it to be cleaner. The store was clean though. The portion was huge and I didn't mind paying for it. You get brown rice, small pieces of chicken, lettuce, a mixed salad and french fries. The entire platter was delicious but the french fries and the mixed salad were the stars for me. They also add whole cumin to the rice and I really love the flavor of cumin. From my picture, you can see how the white and hot sauce were everywhere. They have the rice and the chicken already prepared so the food doesn't need much time to reach your table. Overall, I had an awesome experience! The employees were also very kind and answered customer questions and accommodated with their taste. I can't wait to try other options from their menu!

Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars. For starters, this place is immensely clean. It’s one of the cleanest places I’ve been to and my first time going in was yesterday - during a pandemic. The food was off the charts good! I had two Philly cheesesteaks and a chicken tikka - you’d best believe that I’ll be back. My pictures didn’t come out as aesthetically appealing as they should’ve because I just couldn’t wait to take a bite - the food smelled delicious!! It’s a bit of a drive for me, coming from Brooklyn and all but I’ll be back as this is definitely on my list for a late night option! The meat in the Philly cheesesteak was great, the chicken tikkas were finger licking good. I ended up coming here after visiting another location in Union, NJ a couple weeks back and I’m glad I took a shot on this! It’s definitely closer than the jersey location for me. Definitely try it out!

I had the worst service tonight. I have been watching them. They started giving less and less portion of food. They put only 1 spoon of rice. Funny thing is that spoon is flat as well. He put very small portion of meat as well. Today I told him it was not fare. He became rude right away and showed attitude. His meat cutter was dropping down and he stopped it with his knee. He grabbed it by his hands and started serving food with the dirty gloves. Didn't even wash the cutter. All of them serve food and handle money wearing the same gloves. I observed them many days. They don't change gloves! So, health department told you, if you wear gloves you can touch food and money both? I went to register and asked to speak to manager or owner. He said the owner was not at work location. Then the person who served me food came and said ya ya I am the owner. What happened? If you want take your food or just leave! My question to owner is how can you have this type of people working at that location? Serving dirty food, giving us smaller portion than what we deserve for the money we are paying. How do you continue let this happen? How do I...
