We came here for a Date Night dinner and some entertainment ,which was cute There is a hidden service fee of 10.00 that was placed on our bill ... sneaky AF Menu is not accurate on the II Posto website ....prices are way higher Older decor and not to discriminate but older clientele One table had to beg for it to be cooler which was finally done Another women wore her coat on her head all night like a ghost ( pic below ) Waiter was nice as we had 2 .One did not speak English ( the dessert and coffee guy) The food was just as bad We started with drinks 17.00 ea for a martini and a Jack on the rocks !!!! The artichokes were not it fresh Jarred marinated with some hot breadcrumbs on top The fried calamari was a tad chewy and the marinara sauce tasted like a tin can The seafood salad was calamari rings 3 med shrimp sliced in half and a bit of a scallop. The ceaser salad was cafeteria style , dressing, and small bagged stale croutons We had shrimp parm it was ok and Ninos special 46.00 , do not bother 3 pieces meat chicken and Veal. 2 bites each If ypu want a side of pasta instead to veggies and mashed potatoes its 7.00 ( very small 4 bites ) we did nit order but looked at other tables Dessert has no price listed but was good as well as the coffee Prices are way too high for this food . Pizza joints have better I was so disappointed as I wanted to like this place We spent a lot of money for just OK food . I feel as if we were taken advantage of in some way . What a waste of money. I do not expect anything to come of this . Please look at my other reviews as I am truthful and know my food ! This was not geared to people who know , this I can tell you I hope this...

I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate a family event and the choices are limited on Monday night. A neighbor told me about Il Posto and raved about your food. I came in and there was only one other table taken. We were seated and for a party of 6 got 5 slices of bread. After ordering appetizers and our meal asked for more. Were told it was coming. Some appetizers had sauces- asked for more bread for dunking- got 5 pieces of rock hard bread. The main courses were delicious except for a filet mignon that was purple inside despite asking for medium rare. My grandson couldn’t eat it and the server waved back when called but only came after everyone else finished their meals. The game on his cellphone must have been more important. I don’t mind paying for something I receive. The bill came and the’ service charge ā€˜ / gratuity was 15% . Now a gratuity is a thank you for services rendered- Got the minimum service which didn’t deserve a thank you. If your restaurant isn’t packed , which had 4 tables at the most, the servers should be...

My family and I go here whenever we want a fancier meal without strict dress code or difficult to get reservations.

I highly recommend the lamb chops, I order them every single time. I've literally never had lamb chops as good as they are here, even when I prepare them myself. My wife nearly always gets the T-bone steak and it is a fantastic, massive piece of steak. The veal is also extremely good.

For dessert I recommend the tartufo, it's excellent and just the right amount of you want a large dessert and perfect to share on a date for a smaller portion.

My only real critique is that the music can be a bit too loud on some nights, sometimes a live singer and sometimes a DJ. I find it a bit difficult to hear one another speak at the table sometimes; however, if you plan to have a few drinks and dance to some disco era music maybe it will be a plus for you. They have a full bar as well.

There is usually street parking nearby, it's a mostly residential area in a pretty low-crime...

I post ad nauseam about supporting local businesses, especially dining establishments. Indulge me today as I wax poetic about Il Posto Ristorante (@ 7409 Avenue U). Valentine’s Day was quite an event @ Il Posto. The menu was attractively presented with a variety of choices. The romantic atmosphere was courtesy of a beautifully adorned table setting. The food is amazing; the service is attentive; entertainment on weekends is top notch. Christian is our favorite server, but Fernando, Luis and Marcos are close seconds. Rounding out the staff, Gregory is the manager while Ramona and Mike bartend. For historians, Il Posto is the successor to the Gran Torino and End East restaurants.
