Jamaican Flavors — Restaurant in New York

I just had door dash delivered an oxtail, curry goat and a chicken soup. What a tremendous disappointment. I requested extra gravy on the rice for the oxtail, And the food came packed with rice, 3 pieces of oxtail and nooo gravy on the rice. The rice was so dry I cound not eat the food. When I tell you the curry goat had zero seasoning, it was so bad It tasted like someone just pour boiling water on some goat to boil it. The only half way decent purchase was the soup, it wasn't great but it was tolerable to have. This was my first and will definitely be my last purchase from this restaurant. Poor representation of what Jamaica food should taste like. The name of the restaurant Jamaican flavor is not befitting because the food lacked and definitely had no flavor whatsoever. All that money wasted. If the owner sees this review come on, you need to do better, food is way too expensive to be selling...

Let me tell you!! Besides actually going to Jamaica, W.I. and getting a patty, this is the best patty place I have EVER been to. Whenever we go visit my in-laws in Queens, I HAVE to stop here (a few times)... And then, before I fly back home, I usually stop again and buy a box. My addiction is so bad, that I've even worked it out with my brother-in-law to have him ship me a box(es) for when I won't be in NY for a while.

The only thing keeping them from a 5 star rating is the fact that they won't ship themselves, I can't buy them anywhere else and they only take cash (like most of the delicious food...

My experience there was nothing but unpleasant, for my first and LAST visit. I ordered a dinner and was told by the manager that they were out of vegetables and they were unwilling to substitute the vegetables with an alternative side or reduce the price by a mere .50 cents, since I would be purchasing an incomplete meal at full price. Their unwillingness to compensate has deterred me from returning or patronizing their business again, because they are not customer friendly or service-driven.
