If I could write 0 stars I would. This has to be the most rudest, unprofessional Home Depot is queens probably the 5 boroughs…. Let me explain this story so I don’t sound like I’m crazy or over reacting. My old landlord lost the key to the lock to his garage that stored some of my things. I told him don’t worry I’ll go by a bolt cutter little did I know these things are banned in nyc stores I guess. So I go to the isle after looking for 10 mins or so find them in a locked closet with the can’t sell to 18 years or younger note. Im thinking it’s probably more dangerous to sell the chemicals, the nail guns, etc tool but not the bolt cutter lol. So I ignore this thought find a worker which took about 5 mins find him we go back he open the closest I grab the bolt cutter I walk to the front the bolt cutter has no skew just my luck so she panics like she doesn’t know what to do. I asked you can’t use your Home Depot device and look up the skew and she looks at me like I’m crazy I’m looking back at her she said can I go back and grab another one I go back and grab another one after I told the last worker what happened he said no problem I grab another one. I go to the customer service this time to save time. 5 or 6 people are working none of them look at me acknowledge me or nothing. So I’m just standing there looking dumb I start cough one lady looks at me and say have you been helped. I started to say I been standing here 7 or so minutes does it look like I been helped. I walk up I told the male worker my issue he grab the bolt cutter says sarcastic this has spray paint on it, it’s for the store only we don’t sell bolt cutters. I asked him again because I didn’t understand what he said he said check isle 14 for more cutters I was just there with another worker I walk back there to try my luck. Nobody is there I walk around I find another person he call up to the speaker help on 14. I walk back nobody comes I’m like I’m good bump this I leave. I should of just borrowed the bolt cutters and returned them. Don’t go to this Home Depot and hope for customer service or...
Read moreToday, I had a very disappointing experience at your store. The customer service I received was unacceptable.
At around 7:40 p.m., I went to the wood department and asked a simple question about what material I could use to cover a 6-inch space in my fence. The associate, an older man (around 59 years old), was extremely aggressive in his response. He dismissed my question by saying, “We don’t sell PVC, you have to use wood,” and then continued talking on the phone with a friend. At first, I thought he was speaking to me, but when I asked for clarification, he rudely told me no.
Next, I went to the concrete department for help. When the same associate came by with a cart, I asked if he had been sent to assist me. He walked up very close to my face and repeatedly said, “What do you need? What do you need?” without giving me time to explain. When I finally said I needed concrete for my fence posts, he brushed me off by saying, “You can use any,” and then pointed at a product, saying, “Take that one, that’s what most people use,” before walking away. He never explained why that product was recommended or how to use it.
Thankfully, another employee later stepped in and kindly explained the correct product and process, even though it wasn’t his department. His professionalism was the only positive part of my visit.
Overall, I felt disrespected, rushed, and left without proper guidance from the first associate. This is not the level of customer service I expect from your store, and I hope steps will be taken to ensure this type of treatment doesn’t...
Read moreAfter placing several online orders and attempting to locate a door frame that 3 Home depot prior showed to have them in stock, the store would then cancel my order and inform me after that it was not in stock (mind you at no time were the numbers adjusted online, all showing 2 or more in stock and the return takes 5 to 7 days to process) I was about to place a corporate complaint!!!! I then called this home depot where I had the pleasure of speaking to a customer service rep Sunita, I explained to her the situation, I informed her that the online store shows 3 in stock and asked if she could kindly verify it. She did in a timely manner and recommended that I place the order for she physically only saw 2. I placed the order and while driving to the location I recieved an update phone call by Kamran who informed me that the item I purchased was open. I showed up where I was greeted by the security staff (extremely professional) the gentlemen pointed me in the right direction where I met with Sunita and Kamran, they took the time to unbox and examine the contents of the item and completed the transaction. I live in Brooklyn, the customer service and over all experience at this location is why I will now be making the drive and placing my orders here. The individuals I have encountered here have set an example of what an employer should look for in an employee, they have set the bar for customer service and I would like to recognize these individuals for their outstanding...
