I love Margarita's Pizza. It is the best pizza in New York. The pie has lots of melting cheese. The consistency of the sauce is smooth. It is the perfect balance of garlic, basil, and oregano. The crust is a thin New York-style, crunchy to the last bite. You may not be in the mood for pizza, but the smell pulls your nose into the restaurant. It is addictive once you have a bite! When I want some pizza, I let someone else drive. I get out of the car and get a whole pie. The location is very difficult to access. It's two-way traffic. Many cars and buses competing for the road. The decor would be considered old fashioned. It is white and green vertical stripes; It has not changed since I was a child. Despite its location and decor; There are tons of customers. The shop has been in business for over 50 years. There is no delivery available, nor seats. It has an indoor and window counter. I would love it if they would accommodate more seating. It would be great if there was a second shop. I would...

I’m confident I’m not alone in this sentiment: Margherita Pizza is a cherished gem from my childhood and high school years. At 53, I find myself reminiscing about my visits in the 80s, and I can proudly say that this place has not changed one bit since my first slice. If you grew up in South Queens, you're likely familiar with this iconic spot, and, like me, you probably consider it "your spot."

For me, there’s simply no contest—Margherita Pizza reigns supreme. Every time I return to NYC, I absolutely must indulge in a slice or two accompanied by a grape drink. Margherita, please keep doing what you do best. Stay true to your roots, because you’re one of the rare places that serve authentic New York-style pizza. Your dedication to quality is what makes you stand out, and we wouldn't want it...

I am from New York but have moved away so it is always a right of passage of mine to stop and grab a slice from Margherita’s while home visiting ! It is easily my favorite pizza place in New York! On this visit the pizza for sure did not disappoint it was still fresh and delicious as usual. The only down point of the experience is how much they have raised the prices since the last time I had been there. I ended up ordering 3 slices of cheese and 2 slices of pepperoni and a drink and paid over $22. I was extremely surprised when the price was told to me. Finally after years of hearing about this pizza I finally got a chance to grab a slice but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong it’s definitely a solid slice for the area but regular slice was a little on the thicker side for me good amount of sauce and cheese just didn’t get that wow factor I think if it was thinner and kept the crisp it would be better but overall it’s probably the best slice for the area of Jamaica so if I wanted a slice and I was around I would eat it but just not something I would go out of my way for

Really good and fresh pizza. The crust is perfect and just how i like it. It’s cooked a little more to give it a bit of crunch and the cheese is so yummy. It’s fresh and hot out the oven and the people seem nice. The mushroom topping is a little weird because it’s like full mushroom pieces not sliced or cut like I’m used to. So it gets a little slimy and interesting. Sausage was authentic but definitely try a cheese slice because it really is just amazing. Price was good though it has gone up but inflation I guess.
