JD Breakfast & Coffee — Restaurant in New York

My experience is different from other reviewers because I ordered the egg and meat platter with home fries and toast. I probably should have ordered the french toast or sandwich. I don't know if I will come back to this place because I went here after visiting iHOP across the street (There was a long wait on a Friday morning at iHOP).

I came into JD Breakfast & Coffee expecting a dynamite breakfast but was disappointed.

I ordered the egg and meat platter, meat in this case was turkey, and I was expecting turkey sausage but it was deli turkey. I ordered scrambled eggs and this was not scrambled, see photo.

What disappointed me the most for this $10 platter were the home fries. I asked the cashier how long it would take to cook, she said about 10 minutes or so. The home fries were really hard and not hot, I struggled to eat the rest of the home fries, it's clear the cook did not cook the home fries long enough, it was really hard, like out of the fridge. home fries on high heat for 10 minutes should not be this hard.

As I'm writing this, I hope I did not get sick eating...

Nice little place that I come to occasionally because the woman who could be a co-owner is very nice. The food is fine, nothing really special and a simple atmosphere and I liked supporting a local business. But the last time I was there, I saw a customer who had just eaten there, come back in with his college age daughter who referenced the help wanted sign on the door. The lady called a man to come out to meet her, but when he came out, all he said was "not now, thanks' and left. The father asked the lady what he said and she said he must have hired someone already. This was obviously a lie, since she would have known, or he would've said that in front of her or the daughter. He clearly didn't like the way she looked and just dismissed her. Because of what I saw, I won't go back. I thought they were nice people, but...

WOW!!! Best deli ever! Highly recommend! I still can’t believe how yummy the food was and how cheap the prices are. We ordered a variety of food for lunch and everything was delicious. We got shrimp tempura udon noodle soup, chicken tempura over rice which came with veggies and a fried egg, chipotle chicken panini, and homefries. I would recommend getting the same thing, it was too good! The food came out within 5-10min which was another plus. Freshly made juices are so much cheaper than anywhere else.
