I love the convenience of having a spot with delicious smoothies so close to my apartment. I wish I could give the place a 5 Star rating because the smoothies taste that good, but unfortunately, they need to learn better sanitation practices.
When I got there this morning, the employee was putting away boxes with gloves on. They took their gloves off when I got there and proceeded to almost put new gloves on to make the smoothie without washing their hands. I stopped and asked if they were going to wash their hands. They went to the sink and put their hands under water for literally two seconds and then dried them. This stuff usually causes spots to fail a health inspection.
I would recommend putting the entire staff in a ServSafe training. Proper sanitation is always very important to avoid food poisoning through cross contamination, but with Covid on the rise again with the Delta Variant, this just wasn't something I was willing to chance so I left.

But yesterday I came into the store at 8:00 to order two Acai bowls, I was half greeted by the lady with a lip piercing and she turns her back to me to continue fumbling with the juicer as she keeps checking her watch. Maybe 3 minutes pass and she turns around to ask me if I wanted juice. I said no, I wanted to order Acai bowls. She pauses and says, “just one?” And I tell her two. She stares one more time at her watch and I swear she had an attitude when she said “uhh I’m gonna do them okay but I’m closing”
That soured my mood so quickly because they close at 8:30 apparently. I just walked out at that point because I didn’t want her to do them anymore or bother her because she was so clearly busy.

However on multiple occasions she’s told me to wait, okay. On this occasion she immediately said hey you’re gonna have to wait.
