Only a few times in my life have I honestly been insulted after receiving a product or service. This was one of those times.
Personally, I think a $10 smoothie should either be good, or big - preferably both, even in New York City. When I was handed my drink after ordering, my initial reaction was, "No, that's not mine - that's obviously a small or child size." Wrong.
Then, after accepting the drink, I reasoned, "well, it's probably delicious" which would justify the price. Wrong again.

Staff is nice enough but lack direction on how to run the shop efficiently, putting the customer first. They could do very well to learn to optimize the ordering and order production process.
