Go somewhere else for hosting a private party. If you are lucky enough to get a response when inquiring about a party, consider yourself winning the lottery.

NOTE: Juke Bar averages 2 reviews given a month, with the last review two weeks ago before this one. All of a sudden, 9 five-star reviews today in a span of a few hours right after this exact review. I speculate an attempt to bury this review. Also, some of the reviews and reviewers of Juke Bar appear to be oddly identical to the Mayfly Bar

Anyway, every 10 days or so, Juke Bar posts on social media that they host private parties for no minimum and no fees. Don't expect a response though when inquiring.

  1. First attempt: When inquiring about hosting a party, their website directs you to a party hosting web form. Over a week, we did not hear a response.
  2. Second attempt: We decided to try to email them with the address listed on their website. Over a week and no response.
  3. Third attempt: Since I see that they advertise on social media so often about their private parties they can host, let's try that. I mentioned how we did not receive a reply back via the web form or email. Three days and no response.
  4. Fourth attempt: We decided to call them to see if they are still hosting private parties. Bartender said yes they are and he'll be sure to pass on our info to a person named Rory. He took down the name we used to contact them. A few days have passed and no response.

*Update: turns out the webform they use puts you on their subscriber list. The first spam email: "We host private parties for no fees and no minimum."

**Second update: they replied back on social media asking for the name used on the inquiry email/form. Ummm..maybe if you replied back to all your inquires, you wouldn't have to ask about the name used? Whether you are able to host or not, reply back. By the time they had responded on social media, we had gladly chosen someplace else. Eleven days after submitting the original request form, we still have not received a response through the form or email. The only response has been through social media, where three days later they only asked who submitted the form and then, when I didn't respond because I had chosen somewhere else, decided to harass me because I submitted a poor review of their "service."

Maybe Juke Bar is great when it comes to hosting private parties, if you do get a miracle response. Having been to the bar itself a few times, it's your average bar. In the meantime, it's not worth the time to try and reach them for any party inquires. I would go...

I probably drink about 5 drinks a year, and I decided I would drink a Spiced Cider at Jukebar for my last one of the year on New Year’s Eve. It was served in an adorable vintage coffee mug on a saucer with a cinnamon stick. Tasted like a warm friendly hug. I was inspired by the adorable cup and welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, so I decided to document my experience at the bar while I was waiting to attend a NYE party at Elsewhere that evening.

Due to some life-changing events, I was traveling solo to NYC from Charleston,SC. From the moment I sat down at the bar, I felt very welcome and at ease. I was served by the lovely Siobhan (Shiv for short) and got to know Connor as well. I noticed both had very Irish names and was entertained by their personalities. Being there felt much like going to a friend’s house. When I left the bar to go to my event, I left behind my favorite ink pen. I wasn’t having as much fun at the event as I hoped I would have (clubs aren’t great to go alone to lol), so I left early and noticed my pen was missing. I went back to Jukebar right after midnight, and much to my delight, they had my favorite pen behind the bar.

I’m so happy they helped me find it again because without it, I wouldn’t have gotten to sketch the rest of my trip the way I wanted to. Thank you for a great experience and for helping a lonely traveler feel welcome in a new place. Truly such a great way to end 2024 and begin 2025. Wish you...

Came here on a Saturday night recently with 18 of my friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. I got in touch with the bar's owner, Rory, in advance to make sure we had a space for all of us. We didn't have a minimum to meet, and Rory was super responsive to get us set up and check on our timing and attendance numbers. He even offered a private room due to a last minute cancelation from someone else. We had our own access to the bartenders and a sweet room away from the rest of the bar, which was packed at times, given the Saturday night rush.

The vibe was incredible. Fun mashup DJs all night long and we stayed until nearly closing. We danced the night away and had the best time (it was the best night of my life and I've had many great ones in my 4 decades on this planet!). The music felt like a playlist I would make, so much good stuff! Truly felt like the fates brought me to this place for a reason and we got wonderful treatment. The bartenders loved us, and we loved them! Def coming back next time we visit NYC. Such a fun place! All we had to put down was a $100 deposit, which Rory refunded to me within a couple of days.

Drop by or get in touch in advance if you have a large group. They clearly had a couple of other celebrations going on at the same time and it was fun vibes all around!

Didn't get any food, so can't...

I could not possibly sing Juke Bar's praises high enough!! For a refundable $100 deposit, I was able to host a party in the DJ and VIP room, fully decorate, hire my own catering due to dietary restrictions, and get 2 specialty cocktails for my guests to enjoy. Rory, you are a stand-up guy - thank you so so much for being flexible with all of my requests (I know I had many). Thank you Connor for giving me a tour of the space when I first researching - you assured me everything I wanted would be possible and you were right! Thank you to Owen for being on duty the day of my party - you were very kind, friendly, and never hesitated to help me reorganize the space for my needs. Thank you Georgio for pouring the specialty cocktails!! My guests absolutely loved them, and thank you for putting my custom cocktail stirers in each one!! If you're contemplating hosting a party at Juke Bar, do it! Every person on their team is friendly, helpful, and completely accommodating.

I stopped by The Juke Bar recently for a friend-of-a-friend’s birthday, and honestly it was such a cute little spot. The vibe is cozy but lively just the right balance for a celebration without feeling overwhelming. I tried their lychee martini, which was bright, floral, and sweet without being too syrupy. It had that clean, refreshing taste that makes you want another sip right away. I also had a tequila cranberry simple but solid, and mixed just right so you could still taste the tequila’s kick while getting that tart cranberry finish. Both drinks were well-made, and it shows they pay attention even to the “classic” orders, not just the fancier cocktails. Overall, it felt like the kind of bar you’d want to return to, whether for another birthday gathering or just a casual night out. Cute atmosphere, good energy, and drinks that actually hit the spot I’d definitely go back.
